This has reference to your letter No: MSL/EWA/0021/19 dated 15 August 2019,
along with documents for the approval of subject item.We have reviewed the
same and comment as follows:~
Vide Dekra test report No:2148971.02-INC, the combination of the assembly —
enclosure with busbar, fom M/s Elsteel Ltd, Sri Lanka, assembled with
components like ACB(2000A) & MCCB(800A) from M/s Terasaki, Japan and
Switch Disconnector fuse(800A) from M/s Socomec, France are acceptable as the
offered items from the orginal equipment manufacture.
Hence the request to manufacture or assemble the same or similar combination (of
the assembly ~ enclosure with busbar, from M/s Manama Switchgear &
Lighting, Bahrain, assembled with components ACB upto 1600A & MCCB
400A ~ 1600A from M/s Terasaki, Japan and MCCB 16A ~ 250A from M/s
Terasaki, Malaysia & Load break switches 40A~1600A from M/s Socomec,
Spain or France) of subject items, by M/s Manama Switchgear & Lighting.
Bahrain, mecting fully with all the requirements and instructions as specified in
the test report and provided by the original equipment manufacturer, is

‘The above approval is subject to the following:-
1) The approval for the pertinent items is valid for five years only.
2)It is the responsibility of the local agent to cnsure the standards and
specifications of the above approved articles.
3) Any alteration or changes to the specifications of the above items will
invalidate this approval.
+9 This approval does not entitle the contractor to hold Bleetticity Distribution
Directorate responsible in the event of non-performance of the item.
