Today was the second day that drones caused problems at
Gatwick Airport. After all flights were cancelled yesterday,
the police were hoping that the problem would stop. Flights
started again this morning at 6 a.m., but the drones returned
twice more during the day causing more problems. Some
flights took off from other airports, but other passengers just
had to wait and hope that their flights would be able to take
off when the drones disappeared. One unlucky passenger
tried to be optimistic. ‘At least some flights departed today,
even if mine wasn’t one of them,’ he said.
