Prerequisites for this guide

 Renu HMI : FP5043TN


 FlexiSoft version : 2.30 or Latest version of FlexiSoft
 Modbus Simulation Software (Mod Scan) / Third Party unit of Modbus
/ TCP Master (Client)

This application note is applicable for FP50**, FP40** with Ethernet


Interface, FL 050 and FL 100

Configuration of HMI as Modbus / TCP Server (Slave)

 Create New Application


 Set IP address of HMI by Project > Properties > Ethernet Setting or
Refer below snap for the same

 Select “Network Configuration”


 Select “ COM 3 “ port as Ethernet and add Protocol as Modbus / TCP
Sever (Slave ) or Refer below snap for the same ,

 Add Required Modbus Tags of Modbus TCP / Master in Tag


Database of HMI. Refer below for Modbus Server / Slave mapping
addressing Table for the same. E.g. If Modbus Node Data coming
from 450001, Add D0 in Tag Data base.

 Download your application of HMI , by selecting required options


of FlexiSoft (Firmware , Application , Ladder and Fonts )

Procedure to verify HMI Communication with Modbus Simulation


Software ( Mod Scan )

 Open Modbus Simulation S/W


 Select Modbus Address , Length and Device ID in window
 Select Connection > Connect > Remote TCP / IP Server and Enter
used IP address of HMI i.e. 192.168.0.248 and Port as : 502 or
Refer below snap for the same

 Click on OK
