: FIRE DETECTOR SYSTEM WITH WIRELESS
Project Title: COMMUNICATION
1 Abstract
Write your abstract here. 100 word summary of what you want to do
Fire detector systems are an integral part of designing residential and commercial areas.
As the population density of an area grows, the risks of fire outbreaks continue growing.
Unfortunately, there is a severe lack of centralized fire detection and monitoring system in
Bangladesh. Some residential buildings and commercial spaces contain some basic fire
safety systems, but many times they are not up to the mark. Most installed systems detect
fire and then ring an alarm to alert the people present in the vicinity of the fire. In our
proposed system, we identify the presence and location of a fire, notify the user via a
mobile notification, and store the data in a server for future use.
2 Background
Write here…. What problem you are trying to solve, why is the problem important to solve.300

constantly innovating along with the growing science and technology. Usually, fire is
appeared often accompanied by the generation of smoke. A lot of smoke is produced due to
the fuel temperature and combustion is not high enough in the early stage of fire. If the fire
can be detected before the occurrence of fire and sent an early warning to the nearest fire
station, the occurrence of fire and a large area spreading of fire can be avoided so as to
reduce people's material and financial damage. So we desire to built a fire detection system
which will be an easy and less expensive way to implement a fire and smoke detection
system with a notification to the user using app.
3 Complexity Analysis
Explain how your particular project is a complex problem, might have the necessary Complex
Engineering Attributes as per the course outline / syllabus. Refer to the KPA mapping in the course
outline and justify each point. 300 words or less
A fire detector system's complexity analysis evaluates a number of factors, including system
integration, signal processing, sensor technologies, and decision-making algorithms. Among the
variables affecting complexity are:
1. Sensor Technology: The complexity of the system is influenced by the kind of sensors that are
employed, such as heat, infrared, smoke, and so forth. More complex signal processing can be
needed for more sophisticated sensors.
2. Signal Processing: Algorithms for signal processing are used in the analysis and interpretation of
sensor data.
3. Decision-Making Algorithms: Intricate algorithms for coordinating emergency response, reducing
false alarms, and detecting fires add complexity to the system.
4.Integration with Other Systems: The difficulty increases if the building management or security
systems require the fire detector system to be integrated with them. Protocols for communication and
compatibility are important.
4 Technical Requirements
Software: Blynk android app
Components:
ESP8266 NodeMCU Wi-Fi Module
Gas Sensor (MQ-2)

5 Proposed Methodology
This system is divided into two parts- hardware and software.
A. Hardware:
Each hardware setup consists of three different sensors and an ESP8266 Wi-Fi module. The
gas sensor can provide both analog and digital readings indicating the gas or smoke level
present in its surroundings. For our application, we needed to measure the analog data.
A. Software
Arduino IDE is used to program the NodeMCU. All the data collected by the sensors is sent
to the wi-fi module. It is programmed to upload the raw sensor data to a Blynk server and a
ThingSpeak server.
