Overall Summary of Performance:
This is based on the overall performance and including comments about LO (Learning Outcomes) for each
task. These comments should be linked to the overall grade awarded for each submission. Markers should
provide specific feedback here.
*Please follow relevant assessment brief if marking assessment for a different module.
**Suggestions in green font below are recommendations only – please elaborate and amend accordingly.
Markers should not copy/paste same feedback to different submissions/students.
This is a reasonable/good/solid submission with most key elements included. Good application to the
case study has also been demonstrated. Some key elements are however missing, and these have been
highlighted. You have evidenced that you have met learning outcomes LO3 (Critically evaluate how
project management behaviours can promote organisational success) and LO1 (Strategically apply
relevant project management practices within organisations) however you have not met LO2 (Critically
appraise project management principles and environmental contexts in which projects can be
delivered). Please see the detailed feedback for each task.
Please place the following text box on top of the student’s script by clicking on a blank space and
selecting using an inline text box and add the following comments:
Thank you for your submission. For formative submission feedback, please click on the icon on the right (8
small squares) to see detailed feedback/comments. This is best viewed in a browser. Please contact your
class tutor or module leader if you face any issues in accessing feedback.
Areas where you performed well:
Clearly list what they did well. This section should be contextualised for each submission. Markers should
not copy/paste same feedback to different submissions/students.
*Below example is for PME module. Please refer to relevant module/assessment brief/LOs.
Task 1 - PM (Project Manager) skills - good application to case study shown.
Task 2 – Stakeholder Engagement and Management. You have included a summary of the Mendelow
Matrix and a reasonable description of some of the main stakeholders.
Task 3 - Project Triangle. You have given a reasonable/good/solid description of the project triangle
and impact of changes to the project.
Areas you could improve:
List each task and provide clear suggestions on how the student can improve these as part of summative
submission.
*Below example is for PME module. Please refer to relevant module/assessment brief/LOs.
Task 1 - The Project Manager
This task has been completed to a satisfactory level; however, you should also explain what action PM's
can take to develop these skills in more detail.
Task 2 – Problem Solving and Decision Making
Good identification of key stakeholders however the task requires a discussion of WHY these are the
most critical stakeholders should also be included and how do you engage them. You could also split
them up into external and internal before mapping them. In terms of stakeholder engagement
strategies, you could discuss various communication strategies for the different stakeholder groups.
Task 3 – The Project Triangle
Although the elements have been discussed, and their interrelationship has been briefly examined,
much deeper analysis and application is required. You are on the right track. Please also briefly discuss
change control and change management in the organisation.
A wide range of references should be used to support your statements.
Recommended Next Steps:
Some examples are provided below. Please adapt these a per the submission and module.
• Please revisit the Topic workbook and reading materials.
• Please improve citation and referencing as per the Harvard Referencing System.
• Carefully read the Assessment Brief and address all the elements of each task.
• Take care to check your spelling, grammar and ensure you have a comprehensive list of recent
references as evidence of your independent research. Please include more references to evidence your
independent research. Good sources of information include the APM website, FT.com and eBooks via
the online library.
• These should be presented in the Harvard referencing format and sorted in alphabetical order.
For students who clearly need help with English or grammar ask them to:
• Please complete the student query form on the hub to book an appointment with an English
Language Tutor to receive feedback by email or to book a half-hour 1-to-1 consultation.
For students who have poor referencing or where they might be a PAP (Poor Academic Performance) or
PAM (Potential Academic Misconduct) in the summative, ask them to:
• Please book a meeting with an Academic Support Tutor [AST] (previously called “Personal
Tutors”) via the Student Query Form on The Hub for some support.
Important for all markers
• Please ensure that you have marked all formative allocations as per the above guidance.
• Formative grade sheet should be completed. This is normally provided by the AA Team as part
of the allocation email.
• Please inform the AA Team and respective Module Leader if you are concerned that you will not
be able to meet the deadline. It is vital that we provide good quality feedback/feedforward as per the
deadline.
• Please feel free to contact your ML for help if you need advice or guidance while marking
formative assessments.
