5 stages of Main Paper’s Abstract
Background Information:
Voice controlled robotic system is controlled through voice commands received via android
device. The integration of control unit with Bluetooth device is achieved using a Bluetooth
module to capture and read the voice commands. The robotic vehicle operates as per the
command received via android device.
Principal Activity:
Voice controlled robotic system is very beneficial in areas where there is high risk for humans to
enter.
Brief Methodology:
The controlling device may be any smart phone having an Android OS. The transmitter uses an
android application required for transmitting the data. The receiver end reads these commands
and interprets them into controlling the robotic vehicle. The android device sends commands to
move the vehicle in forward, backward, right and left directions. After receiving the commands,
Arduino operates the motors in order to move the vehicle in four directions. The
communication between android device and receiver is sent as serial communication data.
Arduino program is designed to move the motor through a motor driver circuit as per the
commands sent by android device. The wireless camera is interfaced with Arduino to record
forward movement of the robotic system which also includes wireless night vision camera
which will not only allow viewing whatever will be recorded in day time but also during night. A
robotic arm is mounted at the front of the system to make changes in the environment along
with a lcd screen to view the received commands. An obstacle detector is added to protect the
system from obstacles on the way by using an ultrasonic sensor.
Result & Conclusion:
The voice controlling commands are successfully transmitted via Bluetooth technology and on
reception; the desired operations successfully take place. This project reduces human efforts at
places or situations where human interventions are difficult. Such systems can be brought into
use at places such as industries, military and defense, research purposes, etc.
Paraphrased Abstract
In situations where there is a low chance of humans entering, a voice-controlled robotic device
is quite useful. The android device receives voice commands, which are used to drive the
robotic system. A Bluetooth module is used to capture and read voice commands, allowing the
control unit to be integrated with a Bluetooth device. The robotic car responds to commands
sent through an Android device, which is why Arduino is included in the system. Any Android-
based smartphone can be used as the controlling device. The transmitter makes use of an
Android application that is required for data transmission. These commands are read by the
receiving end, which then interprets them to control the robotic vehicle. The android device
provides commands to the car to travel forward, backward, right, and left. Arduino uses the
commands to control the motors, which let the car to move in four directions. Serial
communication data is transmitted between the android smartphone and the receiver. The
Arduino program is intended to control the motor via a motor driver circuit in response to
commands provided from an Android device. The wireless camera is interfaced with Arduino to
record forward movement of the robotic system, which also incorporates a wireless night vision
camera that allows viewing of what is captured not only during the day but also at night. A
robotic arm and an LCD screen are positioned in front of the system to make adjustments to
the surroundings and to view the received orders. Using an ultrasonic sensor, an obstacle
detector is added to safeguard the system against oncoming obstructions.
5 stages of Main Paper’s Introduction
Stage1:
Voice controlled robotic system aims at achieving successful surveillance at places where
human intervention is at high risk such as hot or sub zero temperature environment, war fields,
disaster affected zone, etc. It also aims to fulfill the task assigned to the user through various
commands.

Stage2:
The voice commands to the robotic system are sent through Bluetooth via an Android device.
These commands are received on the robotic system via Bluetooth module mounted on it. The
surveillance is carried on using a wireless camera with night vision mounted on a servo motor
to view 1800 . A robotic arm is mounted at the front of the system to make changes in the
environment along with an lcd screen to view the received commands. The motor driver circuit
is used to control the speed of robotic system. An obstacle detector is added to protect the
system from obstacles on the way by using an ultrasonic sensor. The whole circuitry is powered
using a 12V rechargeable battery mounted on the system.
Stage3:
Range of Bluetooth technology is upto 10 meters only. Delay in transmission and reception of
commands is high. The Bluetooth connection gets dropped frequently. The cost of project is
high. Noise signals are added during reception of video signals which give rise to flicker.
Maintenance of the system is difficult. There is need for more number of obstacle detector
sensors. Location of the system can be tracked using GPS/GSM modules.
Stage4 & Stage5:
Voice controlled robotic system aims at achieving successful surveillance at places where
human intervention is at high risk such as hot or sub zero temperature environment, war fields,
disaster affected zone, etc.
Paraphrased Introduction
The goal of a voice-controlled robotic system is to achieve successful monitoring in regions
where human intervention is at danger, such as hot or sub-zero temperatures, conflict zones,
disaster-affected areas, and so on. It also seeks to complete the task that has been set to the
user using a variety of commands.

The robotic system receives voice commands through Bluetooth from an Android device. The
robotic machine receives these commands via a Bluetooth module installed on it. A wireless
camera with night vision installed on a servo motor to view 180o is used for surveillance. A
robotic arm and an LCD screen are positioned at the front of the system to make adjustments
to the surroundings and to view the received orders. The robotic system's speed is controlled
by the motor driver circuit. Using an ultrasonic sensor, an obstacle detector is added to
safeguard the system against oncoming obstructions. A 12V rechargeable battery fitted on the
system powers the entire circuitry.
With the use of Bluetooth technology, voice commands are sent and received via wireless serial
connection. Because of the wireless camera, the surgery can be streamed live. A robotic arm is
used to make changes to the surroundings. An obstacle detector with an ultrasonic sensor
protects the system from any impediments. The system consumes relatively little energy (upto
30W).
Bluetooth technology is a short range communication system approximately 10 -12 meters. The
time it takes for commands to be transmitted and received is extremely long. The Bluetooth
connection is frequently dropped. The project has a huge price tag. Flicker is caused by the
addition of noise signals to video signals during reception. The system is difficult to maintain. A
greater number of obstacle detector sensors is required. GPS/GSM modules can be used to
track the system's location.
