Objective: To understand what is data visualization and explore data visualization tools
available. Also learning the principle of right graph for right data.
Materials Required:
Computer with internet access Visualization
software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
Procedure:
1.Using Data set from Assignment No.2
2.Dataset link : https://www.kaggle.com/datasets/pratikgarai/mobile-phone-specifications-
and-prices.
3.Tools used for data visualization: Power BI
Reason:
a. User-Friendly Interface: - Power BI offers an intuitive and user-friendly interface,
making it accessible to users with varying levels of technical expertise. This promotes
widespread adoption within organizations.
b. Integration with Microsoft Ecosystem: - Being a Microsoft product, Power BI
seamlessly integrates with other Microsoft tools and services, such as Excel, Azure, and
SQL Server. This integration enhances compatibility and allows users to leverage
existing Microsoft investments.
c. Robust Data Connectivity: - Power BI supports a wide range of data connectors,
enabling users to connect to various data sources, including databases, cloud services,
and online platforms. This flexibility ensures comprehensive data integration.
d. Rich Visualization Options: - Power BI provides a diverse set of visualization options,
including interactive charts, graphs, maps, and custom visuals. Users can create
compelling and insightful reports that cater to specific business needs.
e. Powerful Data Modeling Capabilities: - With Power BI's data modeling features, users
can create relationships between different data sources, perform complex calculations,
and generate meaningful insights. This flexibility enhances the depth of analysis.
4.Visualization:
a. Histogram Chart :
i. Use for comparing the frequency or distribution of categorical data. Ideal for
comparing values across different categories.
ii. Here the bar chart explain the brands of mobile phone with their battery capacity.
iii. Brand name and battery capacity both are categorial value .
iv. Therefore it explain better.
b. Area Chart :
i. Suitable for showing cumulative totals and comparing trends over time.
ii. Here a area charts explain the price of mobile phone in India.
iii. Area charts there are many brands of mobile phone in India therefore the charts is
continuous.
c. Line Chart :
i. Ideal for showing trends and patterns in time-series data.
ii. Here the model and front camera evolution in mobile phone explain in line charts.
iii. This graph show continue evolution of front camera in India.
d. Column bar chart:
i. Here column charts is use for describing .
ii. Here we see the internal storge and their brand .
iii. Here various brand show their internal storge.
e. Tree Map:
i. Great for illustrating hierarchical structures and the proportion of each branch.
ii. Here the tree charts shows the brands has touchscreen and not.
iii. In this we see the Samsung has highest touch screen.
F .Scatter Plots:
i. Useful for visualizing relationships and correlations between two variables.
ii. In this charts shows the screen size in inches in their name.
iii. Scatter plot is explain better .
g .Pie chart:
i. Suitable for display proportions of a whole or parts of a whole.
ii. This pie charts shows the mobile phone is used which operating system.
iii. This graph shows most of mobile phone used android operating system.
h .Table:
i. Effective for displaying detailed data, especially when precise values are important.
Presents raw data in a structured format.
ii. This graph shows the Brands of mobile phone, Processor, Operating system,4G
,RAM, Bluetooth.
iii. Its shows total processor and total RAM.
Conclusion:
Overall, by employing a diverse set of visualizations, a comprehensive understanding of
various aspects of the crop production dataset, including trends, proportions,
relationships, and geographical distribution.
Each visualization type serves a specific purpose, contributing to a holistic analysis of the
data.
We also understood the proper visualization of continuous, discrete and categorical
values of the data-set.
