1. Piping must be airtight,


watertight and gas tight.

must be installed with a water
seal trap (Principle No. 11 in
Module 1)

for inspection or cleaning of the
pipes and must be strategically

4. Each fixture trap shall be


provided with vent pipes to ease
drainage and to prevent sewage
backflow.

5. Drainage piping are


required to be inclined at 2%
slope or 2cm drop for every
meter of horizontal run.

6. All horizontal piping shall be suppor ted & anchored at
inter vals not to exceed 3 meters.

7. Vertical piping shall be


secured at sufficiently
closed intervals (preferably

pipe in alignment.
