Of course third graders can be held more accountable for their work. Also, for the kids who are
missing assignments, when or how are they made up. I created a new system for the HW Club that I

across the channel into France to bring you two absolute classics of French Cinema. A motivator like
your pack will bring excitement to homework. I have parents sign in each child's homework folder
each night. As an organisation built by those with roots that stem beyond these borders, we are
committed to the unity of cultures and will continue to support and be guided by the traditional land
owners. I agree with you, sometimes I let one or two assignments slip through without a lot fuss. At
this age I am just trying to teach them responsibility for the older grades. Follow the protocol for

opoly. I teach Kindergarten and many of the parents didn't take homework seriously last year. These
cookies do not store any personal information. I will always have super fond memories of them and

second grade teacher, I was afraid that parents would revolt, but many were happy to help their

I love this whole idea. I like the idea of a homework club, it may be a great incentive for the
students who do not turn their work in. I've been seeing so many homework clubs lately and I can't
wait to jump on the bandwagon for next year's class. I'm so famous for finding something I can't
keep up with in regards to HW rewards. Then you have the students that play sports and their excuse
is that they didn't have time. Love that this rewards those who are doing what they should and
encourage those who need it. Once a student experiences academic success, what ultimately happens
is a uniquely awesome shift from working hard for the perks and prizes, to working hard because
they believe in themselves, their capabilities, and are driven by that amazing feeling we get when we

a weekly homework packet. We are told at my campus that we must give homework, I try to limit it
to basic practice that can be completed without help from an adult, spelling practice, math facts,
nightly reading. I tried a punch card this past year, but it didn't work for me. I would love to have a

have pinned this on pinterest earlier today and repined it. This usually gives me pretty good results
(plus I have really cooperative parents.sorry to those of you that struggle in this area). Homework
club kids get spoiled at WBYO with treats, outings and anything else we can think of. Homework
Club will run from Term 1 through to Term 4 on a Monday from 3.30-4.30 pm in the iCentre. Run by
inclusion assistants, it’s perfect for anyone needing help with their home learning or students who
would prefer to do it at school than at home. In order to improve programming and provide better
support, clubs are required to provide baseline data, mid-term reporting and a final report. I let the
group decide where they wanted the picture taken and if it was to be serious or funny. I teach 2nd
and think this would really get the kids motivated!:) YOU ROCK. I think it will make all students
want to complete their homework to be in the club. It’s a good idea to update this information every
term to stay on top of changes and to keep parents up to date with any new additions. I get sick of

my students fill out a missing homework slip when they don't bring in an assignment. A Super
Simple Science Investigation: Candy Rainbow. My students also can ask questions about missed
questions. My dream was for them to take charge of their learning and do their best even without
expectations from parents to succeed. We have started this year with a look at one of our favourite
directors: Wes Anderson. Good options include the school library, a classroom, or a shady outdoor

Upper. My students responded really well to it and homework was actually getting turned in for
many more days out of the month than before (more on that later). This approximation excludes the
big WBYO opening, closing, and halfway point break. They were a sweet group and I wanted to
reward them whenever I could. Sweet yes. Inclined to return homework. I wanted a system that
would motivate them to do it; not because I think homework is the most important thing on earth but
I do think it's an important lesson in self-discipline.
