QUIZ # 4.
Should you consider the situation and the experiences of your learners
in grading and evaluating their learning outputs? Why?
Monitoring students’ progress on a regular basis also enables the teacher to
analyze a student’s current performance level, as well as evaluate growth throughout a
school year. For example, pre- and post-learning tests can measure a student’s ability
and skill before and after learning new content.
When assessment criteria are clear and explicit. Student can recognize what is
important and valued in the curriculum. Then, they can focus their efforts on key
learning outcomes and evaluate their own performance through self-assessment and
reflection. Student assessment enables instructors to measure the effectiveness of their
teaching by linking student performance to specific learning objectives. As a result,
teachers are able to institutionalize effective teaching choices and revise ones in their
pedagogy.
Evaluation is being used to measure student progress, reform education
systems, and enhance accountability for outcomes. School administrators and teachers
alike are conducting evaluations of their own to improve school performance and foster
creative spaces for learning. The main objective of student course evaluation is to
obtain feedback from students regarding course and teaching for improvement

Yes, of course, I considered. Because, an effective grading system communicate
information about learning to help students be proactive, overcome failures, and excel.
In equitable schools and classrooms, grades will never be used as rewards,
punishments, or tools to force compliance. The grading system ensures consistency
and fairness in the assessment of learning, and in the assignment of scores and
proficiency levels against he same learning standards, across students, assessments,
learning experiences, content areas, and time. A system of well-constructed formative
and summative assessments allows students to demonstrate their abilities and
knowledge and then reflects how close they are to meeting educational goals and
standards. It will empower students to achieve the outcomes smoothly.
