understanding of applying what I have learned through EDU218. Through this
experience, I utilized the strategies and instructional techniques learned in the
course to effectively deliver the lesson's content to the students. By preparing a
lesson plan with the lesson objectives with the Iowa standards and students'
learning needs.

successful delivery of instruction. The first strategy I used was direct
instructions. I told them exactly what we were doing at the very beginning of the
lesson. This allowed them to know exactly what I expected to get done and what
was happening in the lesson. Then I used guided practice. I guided them along in
the Ice Cream Lab. Allowing them to follow and perform as well. Then I also used
independent practice. Where I allowed them to work on their own. Giving them
away to see if they understand.

my disciplinary knowledge in the field of education. Effective communication was
needed to clearly deliver the concepts and ensure the student comprehension.
My communication skills are also a way to help me build a positive classroom
environment. The discipline knowledge showed me the importance of having
some sort of assessment throughout the lesson. As well as why its important to
meet the different types of learners.

- ompleting the whole class lesson assignment was a great learning experience.

It allowed me to set up an entire lesson. It gave me practice in preparing a well
thought out lesson plan. While giving me the opportunity to prepare and deliver
the lesson as well. It taught me the importance of using different strategies to
meet each different learner's needs. As well as finding strategies that work best
for the kind of classroom environment you have. Completing this assignment
allowed me to also reflect on what I need to work on for the future. Overall this
assignment taught me the importance of being prepared for any kind of learner
need ,and how to prepare well thoughout lesson.
