SEC Dept. would like to submit the plan, Promote AD on windows server 2016
from obsolete version 2008 following:
I. PURPOSE AND REQUIREMENT
1. Purpose
- In current situation, we have been operated Active Directory on a Windows server
2008 which is obsolete, Therefore highly risk, since version has no support or
updates to patch new vulnerabilities. In way to improve the security is needed to
upgrade to Windows Server 2016 by deploying a VM with the new OS version
and later migrate the user, groups and configurations to the new Active Directory
2. Requirement
- IP available
- Follow the steps to Promote an Active directory.
- Test system before and after execution of activities that impact the live network.
3. Time and location
- Time: 05/12/2023 – 22/12/2023.
- Location: Data Center - San Isidro.
