FAIR NARRATIVE
REPORT
According to Edward Teller, “Science and Mathematics of today is the future of
tomorrow.” Science and Math is not just simply about experiments and solving problems but
practically applying those in real life situations. As part of the advocacies of the DepEd to
provide quality education, the schools under the umbrella of South II District got the chance
to further hone the knowledge and skills of learners and also teachers in the field of Science
and Mathematics.
District Science and Mathematics Fair was conducted in South II District last
September 19, 2023 in South 1-A Central School, together with our District Supervisor
Reubert L. Dechos, PhD and the school principals of 6 participating schools with the theme
“Providing Learners’ Resilience: Showcasing Talents, Culture and Arts and Technology”.
Weeks prior to the contest, a meeting was initiated by the District Math and Science
Coordinator, with the representatives of each schools. The meeting focused on the plans,
contest mechanics, rules and regulations of the upcoming Science and Math Fair.
The contest day went smoothly and organized accordingly. The contest was divided
into eight different areas, namely: Science Quiz Bee, Slogan Writing Contest and Poster
Making Contest, Egg Drop, Large Barge, Paper Tower, Paper Plane and Egg Transport. The
contest started with an opening program, attended by the officers, the host school principal,
Maam Susan P. Pirante, and the District and Schools Science and Math Coordinators, and the
school principals of the participating schools were also present.
The contest proper immediately took place after the opening program. The
participants proceed in their respective rooms, where the contest areas were assigned. Before
the afternoon ends, an awarding program was conducted to give recognitions and certificates
who won in the different areas of the contest. As part of the agreement in the rules and
regulations stipulated in the Division memorandum, the learners that ranked top 5 of the total
participating schools in the District level contest will compete in the Division Level.

schedule on October 16, 2023 from 10:30 AM-12:00 NN.
