INTRODUCTION

In choosing the right senior high track in senior high school is a common problem that probably
student experience. There are a lot of common problem that a student face or experience in choosing
right track for their future. Such as lack of confidence, friends influence, in friends influence student or
learners are maybe or they will be afraid of getting away from their friends. Also one of those common
problem here is the financial .Students think in advance if their going to choose that track the main
questions that will come up of their minds is if they can afford that track, and also if they can handle that
track. In choosing a track for our future there is really a lot of factors that may lead to distractions when
it comes to decision making and this problem are we going to talk about and it’s about choosing a right
track for Senior High School.

Choosing a right track/strand can help learners set goals and develop strategy for getting where
they want to be. Part of selecting appropriate strands involves making an honest self-evaluation of

really can make it or if you can adapt that environment you choose. Some important matter that we can
consider when it comes in choosing a right track is the appropriateness of talents what we have. Also if
that thing will make us happy or comfortable, in choosing a right track we really face the factors, factors
of choosing, factors of evaluating and factors of appropriateness. Here we are alive and have rights in
choosing a right track for our future that may lead in our success. And some of those ideas here is to talk
over the solution that we can provide in choosing a right track and a better decision.

According to ADDADEY, et.al., that the students rely on other persons for help when making
such a decision. Because in choosing a track in senior high school is a decision made at young age,
usually below 16years old students. The idea is high school student that expected to proceed in senior
high school are making a weak decision that maybe influenced by their friends or relatives. That’s why
they need to rely by the other person in order to help them choose their courses in their transition to
senior high school. In other word they need a guide that will set them for their appropriate track. And
the findings showed that the parents will be the one who expectedly guide their children for choosing
their track/strand. And also it Recommend that school heads should educate parents, guardians and
teacher on how to guide students in choosing a track/strand to pursue at SHS level.

and socio-economics factors influencing the academic track/strand among high school student for
choosing their senior high track for their future. Social economic factors affect how well and how long
we live. Social and economic factors include factors such as income, education, employment,
community service and social support. The choices that are available in a community are impacted by
social and economic factors the main objective of the study was to determine the relationship between
senior high school track and the course preferences of the college students. The study is a review of the
literature on the basic education (k-12) curriculum, specifically the senior high school (SHS) of japan and
us, i.t plays a significant role in shaping attitudes and belief towards their chosen fields.
The senior high school students in Sorsogon city (Philippines) has provided a better
understanding of career decision making step defining a career track available career choices for a
better meaningful outcomes and developing the careers of future graduates of k-12 program. It is
evaluating a method of every research utilizing a Surveys and interviews were used to determine every
career choices and factors that every senior high school Students face, influencing their career choices.
It also showed that the majority of senior high school future graduate preferred a higher education over
employment, entrepreneurship, and middle development skills they conduct to determined, considering
their lack of career choices. Also they’ve been influenced by their interests, influenced by job
opportunities, and somewhat influenced by their parents and peers to decide choosing a career track.
Therefore the career guidance was developed to help students in choosing the right career path/track,
to foresaw what they capable of, in case deciding to choose a track or strand to have a rightful career
path in the future. (Karen Mae H.P, Christine H.F., et.al. 2023).

This study aims to determine the factors affecting in choosing the right track/strand in Pundasan
National High School. The factors that can cause distractions of decision making of a student specially
those students that expected to proceed in senior high school. But before they are going to proceed in
senior high school, they need to have their own honest chosen track/strand. Because in this study aims
to determine those factors and common concern may students may experience in choosing their track
for their future. In choosing a track/strand theirs really a distraction, a lot of distractions that the
students experience before they will going to own their chosen track, or to finally decide their chosen
track or strand. This study are also going to determine and finding of solutions, way on how to avoid
distractions, also on how to make a better decision making, and to know those common factors that
may affect in choosing a right track in Pundasan National High School.
