Subject : Service Tool Software Upgrades( for Windows Vista)
for G420FE(F) / G424FE(F)
▪ In case you already have service tool software for Tier 3/MI07 in your computer, you
do not need to install this software. This service tool software upgrades are for
windows vista. Of course, if you install this software in your computer, you can use
the Tier 2/MI04 to Tier 3/MI07 system tools on windows 2000, windows XP, windows
Server 2003, and window Vista.
▪ Service tool software kit
Please get the following required parts from Doosan parts depot by placing an order.
If you already had the parts for Tier-2, you can use them as common for Tier-3.
(Please refer to the TB0134.)
- A343079 : USB-CAN Converter ass’y ( Dual channel)
- A408026 : USB-CAN Converter ass’y (Single channel)
- A343080 : Service Tool Software ( CD + License Dongle)
* When you install the “New MotoTron software”, please use attached files which are
the latest one, instead of CD.
- A334071 : Extension Cable(L=200 Cm)
- A334082 : Extension Cable(L=20 Cm)
▪ Download the below files to temporary folder in your computer and extract the folders
from the “ Service Tool Software Upgrades_Windows Vista.zip” file.
- Display files
- DLL files
- Doosan MI07_MI04 Updater 1-5-07
- MotoServerRuntime_8_11_1_147
- MotoService_8_11_1_147
- Release_MotoKVASERFirmwareUpdate
- Marx Drivers
- Kvaser Drivers
- Kvaser Leaf Firmware
< Uninstallation of “MotoService” program & “MotoServerRuntime” program >
▪ In case you already have software for Tier-2, uninstall your current “MotoService” &
“MotoServerRuntime” programs which have been installed in your computer.
This will not affect any calibration or SECM programs you already have on the
computer.
1. UNINSTALL your current MotoService program.
2. UNINSTALL your current MotoServerRuntime program.
3. UNINSTALL your current Moto Tron KVASER Firmware Upgrade Utility program.
4. Verify the uninstallation was completed by going to the following directories:
C: Program Files MotoTron MotoService
C: Program Files Common Files MotoTron Shared
These directories should either not exist or should be empty. If not, delete any files in
these directories.
< Installation of the new “MotoService” program & “MotoServerRuntime” program >
1. INSTALL the new MotoService_8_11_1_147 program.
( If you install MotoTron Software for the first time, you should start from this chapter.)
Run “setup.exe” file which is extracted from the “MotoService_8_11_1_147” file.
1) Click ‘Next’.
2) Click ‘Yes’.
3) Put user name & company name and then click ‘Next’.
4) Click ‘Next’.
5) Click ‘Next’.
6) Finish the ‘MotoService’ installation.
2. INSTALL the MotoServerRuntime_8_11_1_147 program.
Run “setup.exe” which is extracted from the “MotoServerRuntime_8_11_1_147” folder.
1) Click ‘Next’.
2) Click on the “I Accept” icon and then click ‘Next’.
3) Put user name & organization and then click ‘Next’.
4) Click ‘Next’.
5) Click ‘Install’
6) Finish the ‘MotoServerRuntime’ installation.
< Update a Dongle >
1. Insert a Dongle into “USB port” on your computer.
2. Run the “Doosan MI07_MI04 Updater 1-5-07.exe” file in the
“Doosan MI07_MI04 Updater 1-5-07” folder.
(You should start this procedure while the dongle is installed on your computer.)
1) Click ‘Upgrade Token’.
2) Click ‘OK’.
3) Finish the dongle update.
< Moto Tron KVASER Firmware Update >
Double click on the ‘installer.msi” file in the
“Release_MotoKVASERFirmwareUpdate” folder.
1) Click ‘Next’
2) Click ‘Next’
3) Click ‘Next’
4) Click ‘Next’
5) Click ‘Close’.
6) Finish the ‘Moto Tron KVASER Firmware’ installation.
< Installation of the “Marx Drivers’ >
Open the folder marked Marx Drivers. Double click on the CbSetup.exe .
1) Click on the “Install” icon and then click ‘OK’
2) Click ‘YES’
3) Make choice as shown and click ‘OK’
4) Click ‘OK’
< Moto Tron KVASERFirmwareUpgrade or Kvaser Leaf Firmware >
If you have a Can cable (A343079, Dual channel) that looks like the picture below then
move to Moto Tron KVASERFirmwareUpgrade.
If you have a Can cable (A408026, Single channel) that looks like the picture below then
move to Kvaser Leaf Firmware.
1. Moto Tron KVASERFirmwareUpgrade.
Insert a “USB-CAN Converter(A343079, Dual channel )“ and a “Dongle” into USB
ports on your computer
1) Click ‘Y’ (Yes)
2) Click ‘I’ (Install).
3) Click ‘Finish’
Start the ‘Moto Tron KVASERFirmwareUpgrade’ while the KVaser driver is installed on
your PC. (Program - Moto Tools - Moto Tron KVASERFirmwareUpgrade)
1) Click ‘Upgrade’.
2) Click ‘OK’.
3) Moto Tron KVASER upgrade is successful.
2. Kvaser Leaf Firmware
Insert a “USB-CAN Converter(A408026, Single channel )“ and a “Dongle” into USB
ports on your computer
1) Click ‘Y’ (Yes).
2) Click ‘I’ (Install).
3) Click ‘Finish’
Open the folder Kvaser Leaf Firmware. Double click the Update.exe.
1) Click Next
2) Click Next
3) Click ‘Select all’ and then click ‘Next’
4) Click ‘Start Upgrade’
5) Click ‘Close’ : Finish
< Updating all Kvaser Drivers >
Open the folder Kvaser Drivers. Double click the kvaser_drivers_w2k_xp.exe .
1) Click ‘No’.
2) Click ‘Next’.
3) Click ‘Next’
4) Click ‘Next’
5) Click ‘Next’
6) Installing
7) Click ‘OK’
< Verification of the MotoTron software installation >
1. Restart the computer
2. Move the new display file to the correct location:
C: ECUFiles Displays => MI07_RevJ.dis , MI_4_Diagnostic_Display_revF.dis
(Move the all xxx.dis in the “Display files” folder to “C: ECUFiles Displays”
directory.)
3. Move the new dll file to the correct location:
C: ECUFiles TBDLL => MI07_SEQ062. dll
(Move the all xxx.dll in the “DLL files” folder to “C: ECUFiles TBDLL ” directory.
4. Verify the installation correctly by starting MotoViewer.
You should start MotoViewer while the dongle is installed on your PC.
1) Start the ‘MotoViewer’ (Program - MotoService - MotoViewer).
2) Confirm the MotoServer ICON.
3) Select the ‘Ports..’ of MotoServer as above picture.
4) If the screen is displayed as above picture, it is successful.
(You can choose either ‘PCM-1’ for MI07 System or ‘SECM-1’ for MI04 System.)
5) Click ‘OK’.
< Start the MotoTron software >
1. Start the ‘MotoViewer’ while the dongle is installed on the computer.
( Program - MotoService – MotoViewer )
2. Click ‘File’ and then click ‘Open’
3. Select the “ MI07-RevJ.dis ” and then click “ OPEN”
4. Click ‘Yes’.
5. Display “ MI-07 SERVICE DISPLAY REV J”
6. Finish.
The installations of Service Tool Software Upgrades are complete!
