The New York City Language Center

Hi, I’m Sandrine Bisset. I’m a teacher at The New York City Language Center. I’m from
Marseille in the south of France, and I’m twenty-nine years old. My mother is Swiss, and my
father is French. He’s a teacher in a school in Paris. My friend is Antoine. He’s from France,
too, and he’s a student at Columbia University here in New York.

Students come to The New York City Language Center to learn different languages. I’m the
French teacher, and my class has students from the United States, Africa, Asia, and Europe.
It’s very interesting to meet different people, and the classes are always fun. The students
always speak French together because it’s the best way to learn the language.

My friends Giovanni and Lina are also teachers at The Language Center. Giovanni is the
Italian teacher. He’s from Rome. Lina is the German and Spanish teacher. She’s from
Munich in Germany. Her mother is Spanish.
