Questions
1. Make a list of assumptions that will be used as the basis for planning the wedding. And no, it
is not acceptable to assume that Tony and Peggy Sue will just elope, no matter how tempting
that may be.
Assumptions:
- The wedding gift money will all cover the expenses.
- Neither of the parents will contribute monetarily, so Tony and Peggy Sue will pay for the
wedding and expenses of the honeymoon themselves.
- To adjust to the budget, no wedding planner will be hired and all possible activities will be
distributed between the bride and groom, the bridesmaids and groomsmen and Tony’s
mom, who is willing to help.
- Tony's parents have a restaurant and will cater for the wedding.
- Honeymoon plane tickets will be paid by Tony's parents.
- The wedding will take place on a farm in Nebraska for an affordable venue that meets with
the couples wish to have an outdoor ceremony.
- Tony and Peggy Sue want a big wedding with both their families and many friends,
including college friends, in attendance, expecting around 300 guests, assuming most of
the guests can attend.
- They want a ceremony and reception with plenty of food, music, and dancing.
- They probably cannot take out another loan because both have unpaid student loans.
- They have 6 months (180 days) to prepare the wedding.
- Both are working and have an income.
- Families will have to travel from their corresponding hometowns.
- We will need DJ, photographer, entertainment, and other services.
