Topic: The Peru in 100 seconds
1. Machupicchu: Inca Treasure
o Description: Machupicchu, the “Lost City of the Incas,” is perched high in
the Andes. Its stone ruins, surrounded by green mountains, bear witness to
Inca engineering and spirituality. Visitors can explore agricultural terraces,
temples, and astronomical observatories. The view from the top is simply
breathtaking.
2. Cusco: Inca Capital
o Description: Cusco, the ancient capital of the Inca Empire, brims with
history and charm. Its cobblestone streets, Inca stone walls, and colonial
churches create a unique atmosphere. The Plaza de Armas is the heart of the
city, surrounded by historic buildings and cozy cafés.
3. Lake Titicaca: Andean Charm
o Description: Lake Titicaca, situated on the Andean plateau, is the world’s
highest navigable lake. Its blue waters contrast with the floating Uros
Islands, made of totora reeds. Taquile Island, with its traditional textiles and
panoramic views, is another highlight.
4. Arequipa: The White City
o Description: Arequipa, known as the “White City,” owes its name to the
white volcanic stone (sillar) used in its construction. The Santa Catalina
Monastery, with its colorful courtyards and cloisters, is a must-visit.

condors.

6. Peruvian Cuisine: Unforgettable Flavors
o Description: Peruvian food is a fusion of cultures. Ceviche, made with fresh
fish marinated in lime, is an iconic dish. Lomo saltado, featuring stir-fried
beef and vegetables, is another delightful must-try.
7. Inti Raymi Festival: Celebrating the Sun
o Description: Inti Raymi is an Inca celebration of the winter solstice.
Colorful costumes, dances, and rituals in Cusco are awe-inspiring. The
Incas expressed gratitude to the sun for fertile land and abundant harvests.
8. Nasca and the Mysterious Lines
o Description: The Nazca Lines, in the coastal desert, are enigmatic
geoglyphs. Were they created as offerings to the gods or as signals for
travelers? Fly over the lines and contemplate the animal figures and
geometric shapes.
