any similar agency.
The fulfilment of these conditions is to be certified by the
Registrar or the Dean (Academic Affairs) of the University
concerned.
Note: NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such
Masters Programmes in disciplines for which
NET/SLET/SET is not conducted by the UGC, CSIR or
similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET.
OR
(B)The Ph.D degree has been obtained from a foreign

university/institution with a ranking among top 500 in the
World University Ranking (at any time) by any one of the
following: (i) Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) (ii) the Times
Higher Education (THE) or (iii) the Academic Ranking of
World Universities (ARWU) of the ShanghaiJiao Tong
University (Shanghai).

Note: The Academic score as specified in Appendix II (Table


3A) for Universities, shall be considered for short-listing of
the candidates for interview only, and the selections shall be
based only on the performance in the interview.
2 Fine Arts & Performing Eligibility (A or B):
Arts (A) i) Master‘s Degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent
grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed)
in the relevant subject or an equivalent degree from an
Indian/foreign University.
ii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate
must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET)
conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by
the UGC like SLET/SET or who are or have been awarded a
Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants
Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award
of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and
their amendments from time to time as the case may be.
Provided further, candidates registered for the Ph.D.
programme prior to July 11, 2009, shall be governed by the
provisions of the then existing Ordinances / Bye-laws /
Regulations of the Institutions awarding the degree and such
Ph.D. candidates shall be exempted from the requirement of
NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of
Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in
Universities/Colleges /Institutions subject to the fulfillment
of the following conditions:
a) Ph.D. degree has been awarded to the candidate in a
regular mode
b) The Ph.D. thesis has been evaluated by at least two
external examiners;
c) An open Ph.D. viva voce of the candidate had been
conducted;
d) candidate has published two research papers from his/her
Ph.D. work, out of which, at least one is in a refereed
journal;
e) The candidate has presented at least two research papers
based on his/her Ph.D. work in conferences/seminars
supported/funded/sponsored by the UGC/AICTE/ICSSR or
any other similar agency.
Note 1: The fulfilment of these conditions is to be certified by
the Registrar or the Dean (Academic Affair) of the

University concerned.
Note 2: The clearance of NET/SLET/SET shall also not be
required for such Masters Programmes in disciplines for
which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted by the UGC, CSIR
or similar test accredited by the UGC (like SLET/SET).
OR
(B)A traditional or a professional artist with highly
commendable professional achievement in the subject
concerned having a Bachelor’s degree, who has:
i) studied under a noted/reputed traditional
Master(s)/Artist(s)
ii) Has been ‘A‘ grade artist of AIR/Doordarshan;
iii) Has the ability to explain, with logical reasoning the
subject concerned; and
iv) Has adequate knowledge to teach theory with illustrations
in the discipline concerned.
3 Pharmaceutical Science (1) A basic degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm.)(2) Registration
as a pharmacist under Pharmacy Act 1948 as amended from
time to time, including any succeeding enactments.
(3) First Class Master’s Degree in appropriate branch of
specialization in Pharmacy.

Desirable:(1) Teaching, research industrial and / or


professional experience in a reputed organization; (2) Papers
presented at Conferences and / or in refereed journals.
4 Business Management Bachelor's Degree in any discipline and Master's Degree in
Business Administration/ PGDM/ C.A./ ICWA/M.Com with
First Class or equivalent and two years of professional
experience after acquiring the degree of Master degree.
5 Centre for Studies on Eligibility (A or B):
Indigenous Knowledge (A)(i) A Master’s degree with 55% marks (or equivalent
grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is
followed) in a concerned / relevant / allied subjects from an
Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an
accredited foreign university.
(ii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate
must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET)
conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test
accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET or who are or have
been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the
University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and
Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations,
2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time as the
case may be exempted from NET/SLET/SET :

Note: (1) The concerned/relevant/allied subject at PG and Ph.D. level (wherever applicable) will be decided by
the Screening Committee. Decision of the screening committee shall be final and no appeal in this regard will
be entertained.

(2) NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such Masters Programmes in disciplines for which NET/
SLET/ SET is not conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET.

(3) The Minimum Qualifications, Pay Scale & other Conditions for the advertised teaching positions shall be
in accordance with the ‘UGC Regulations on Minimum Qualifications for Appointment of Teachers &
other Academic Staff in Universities & Colleges & Measures for the Maintenance of Standards in Higher
Education 2018’, UGC Regulations-2018 available on the UGC website (www.ugc.ac.in) and its
subsequent amendments issued, published in the Gazette of India, and are subject to amendments in the
present Regulations stipulated by the MoE, UGC, AICTE, NCTE, PCI, NCI etc. applicable to such
recruitments, which may change from time to time

(4) A minimum of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale, wherever the grading system is
followed) at the Master‘s level shall be the essential qualification for direct recruitment of teachers and
other equivalent cadres at any level.

A relaxation of 5% shall be allowed at the Bachelor’s as well as at the Master‘s level for the
candidatesbelonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Other Backward Classes (OBC)(Non-creamy
Layer)/ Differently abled ((a) Blindness and low vision; (b) Deaf and Hard of Hearing; (c) Locomotor
disability including cerebral palsy, leprosy cured, dwarfism, acid-attack victims and muscular dystrophy;
(d) Autism, intellectual disability, specific learning disability and mental illness; (e) Multiple disabilities
from amongst persons under (a) to (d) including deaf-blindness) for the purpose of eligibility and assessing
good academic record for direct recruitment. The eligibility marks of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in
a point scale wherever the grading system is followed) and the relaxation of 5% to the categories mentioned
above are permissible, based only on the qualifying marks without including any grace mark procedure.

(5) A relaxation of 5% shall be provided, (from 55% to 50% of the marks) to the Ph.D. Degree holders who
have obtained their Master‘s Degree prior to19 September, 1991.
(6) Candidate who has been awarded Ph.D. from foreign Universities should enclose ‘Equivalence Certificate’,
issued by the Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi, without which his/her application will be
rejected. However, those who have acquired Ph.D. degree from a Foreign University, duly nominated by
the MoE's (formerly MHRD) Foreign Scholarship Programme, will be exempted from the producing the
‘Equivalency Certificate’.
(7) The Experience and Qualification shall be reckoned as last date of submission of Online Application.

(3) HowTo Apply:


1 Interested eligible candidates have to submit the online application available in
the University website (www.dhsgsu.edu.in).Link of online applications are
also available on CU Chayan Portal (https://curec.samarth.ac.in/).
2 Candidates are advised to read the advertisement carefully and check their
eligibility before applying.
3 Candidates are also advised to read the instructionson CU Chayan Portal.
4 Email Id and Mobile number registered in the portal shall be used for future
communication, if any. The University shall not be responsible for any loss of
email, loss of any communication due to wrong address provided by the
candidates.
5 Applicants are advised to submit the documents related to their Change of
Name/Surname (if applicable)(i.e. Marriage Certificate, Gazette notification
etc.).
6 Candidate who is already in service should submit his/her application through
proper channel. However, he / she may send an advance copy of his / her
application and should produce a “No Objection Certificate” from the employer

(5) TERMS&CONDITIONS:

1 The direct recruitment to the posts of Assistant Professor in the University shall
be on the basis of merit through all India advertisement, screening and selections
by the duly constituted Selection Committees in accordance with the provisions
contained in the UGC Regulations 2018 (as the case may be) as amended from
time to time along with guidelines/ regulations of the regulating bodies of
concerned subjects and provisions given in the University

Act/Statutes/Ordinances/Rules etc.
2 The reservations of SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PWD are in accordance with the
GOI/UGC norms.
3 Mere possession of eligibility conditions shall not entitle a candidate to be called
for interview. The eligibility shall be ascertained strictly on the basis of the UGC
Regulations, 2018 subject to fulfilling all the essential eligibility criteria as
mentioned in the advertisement. The University reserves the right to decide
number of candidates to be called for interview.
4 In case of any dispute / ambiguity that may occur in the process of selection, the
decision of the Vice-Chancellor/Competent Authority in all matter relating to
eligibility, acceptance or rejection of applications, mode of selection, conduct of
interview shall be final and no query or correspondence shall be entertained in
this connection from any individual or his/ her agency.
5 Candidate must bring all original Degree Certificates and Mark Sheets,
Testimonials, Certificates relating to his/her Age, Experience, Category and
Caste etc. at the time of interview. In case the candidate fails to submit the
original documents for verification ofthe certified/photocopies of the enclosures
to his/her application, he/she shall not be allowed to appear for the interview and
his/her candidature shall be treated as cancelled without any further
communication in this regard.
6 The University reserves the right to restrict the candidates to be called for
interview to a reasonable number based on qualifications and experience higher
than the minimum prescribed as decided by duly constituted Scrutiny
Committee(s). Call letters for attending interview shall be sent only to the short-
listed candidates by e-mail only. No correspondence shall be entertained with
applicants who are not short-listed to be called for interview.
7 The Selection procedure shall be as laid down by the UGC Regulations on
Minimum Qualifications for Appointment of Teachers and Others Academic
staff in University and Colleges and Measures for Maintenance of Standards in
Higher Education-2018 and Notifications, Notices and Circulars issued by the
UGC in this regard from time to time.
8 Relaxation in percentage of marks etc. maybe applicable to the candidates
belonging to the Schedule Caste (SC)/Schedule Tribes (ST) or other reserved
categories as per the UGC guidelines. A certificate to this effect issued from the
Competent Authority must be attached with the prescribed application form. If
the relevant certificates in case of respective reserved categories are not attached
with the application, the application shall be rejected and no appeal will be
entertained.
9 No TA / DA shall be paid for attending interview. However, for outstation SC /
ST / PwBD candidate’s second-class single railway to and fro fare on shortest
route shall be reimbursed after attending the interview. This is not admissible to
SC/ST/PwBD candidates who are already employed in the Central / State
Government / Autonomous bodies, etc.
10 Any corrigendum/ changes/ updates related to the post(s) and recruitment process
shall be placed on the University website. It is the responsibility of the candidate

to check the update (if any) on University Website.
11 Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PWD/EWS category should submit
prescribed certificate as per the proforma of Govt. of India. All supporting
documents must be self- attested. If at any stage, the said certificates are found
incorrect, the services will be terminated without giving any notice.
12 The date for determining the eligibility of all candidates in every respect shall be
the closing date as prescribed in the advertisement for receipt of the online
applications. In other words, no candidate shall be called for interview if he/she
does not possess the minimum qualification and experience etc. as on the last
date of submission of online application for a particular post.
13 It is the responsibility of the candidate to assess his own eligibility for the post
for which he/she is applying in accordance with the prescribed qualification,
experience etc. and submit his/her application duly filled-in along with desired
information, documents and other supporting materials as per the advertisement.
Suppression of factual information, production of fake documents, providing
false or misleading information or any other undesirable action by the candidate
shall lead to cancellation of his /her candidature. In case, it is detected at any
point of time in future even after appointment that the candidate
wasnoteligibleaspertheprescribedqualification,experienceoranydocumentswasfou
nd fake, which could not be detected at the time of screening/ interview due to
whatever circumstances, his/her appointment shall liable to be terminated
forthwith as per this clause without any notice and also based on his undertaking
apart from legal action as per rules.
14 The University shall verify the antecedents and documents submitted by
candidates at any time, at the time of appointment or during the tenure of service.
In case, it is detected that the documents submitted by the candidates are fake or
the candidates have undesirable clandestine antecedents / background and have
suppressed the said information, his / her services shall be liable to be terminated.
15 The appointment of the candidate will be subject to police verification. In case
the report of the police with regard to his/her conduct, character, antecedent etc.
is not found to be satisfactory, the appointment shall be withdrawn/ cancelled/
terminated forthwith without notice.

16 Candidates are advised to visit the University website regularly for updates
related to recruitment.
17 The University reserves the right to Revise/ Reschedule/ Cancel/ Suspend/
Withdraw (partially/wholly) the recruitment process of any post(s) without
assigning any reason. The decision of the University shall be final and no appeal
on this regard shall be entertained.
18 In case of any inadvertent mistake in the process of selection which may be
detected at any stage even after the issuance of appointment letter, the University
reserves the right to modify /withdraw / cancel any communication made to the
candidates.

19 The University reserves the right to increase or decrease or withdraw the
vacancies according to the circumstances.
20 Interim enquiries shall not be entertained.
21 Canvassing in any form shall disqualify the candidature of the candidate.
22 The decision of the Screening Committee is final with regard to screening of
applications and short listing of the candidates for appearing in the interview.
23 Salary, terms and conditions of services and superannuation will be according to
the UGC norms as amended from time to time. Candidates selected against a post
shall be required to sign service agreement as prescribed by the University on
joining.
24 Every person appointed on regular basis to a post in the University by direct
recruitment, shall be on probation in such post for a period of one year in the first
instance, provided that the appointing authority may, in any individual case,
extend the period of probation to such extent as it may deem necessary.
25 Candidates must be in sound health and bear good moral character. If selected,
he/she must be undergone such medical examination and satisfy such Certificate
of Health Fitness from the Medical Board of a district hospital and accepted by
the competent authority of the University.
26 Amendments / changes if any in the advertisement shall be published only on the
university website www.dhsgsu.edu.in.
27 In case of any dispute, the territorial jurisdiction for adjudication shall be the
High Court of Madhya Pradesh, Jabalpur (M.P.)
