How has technology affected the way you learn/ study English

When this question comes to my mind, I would say that in this digital era, technology plays an
important role in every aspect of my life. It ranges from economy, health, and entertainment to
education, relationships, and society. I think when I use technology to learn English, it brings me
potential opportunities to enhance and enlarge different language skills such as speaking, listening,
writing, and reading. For example, when I see a new word, instead of spending time looking it up in a
paper dictionary, I will search it on the Internet via an e-dictionary such as the Cambridge Dictionary
or Oxford Dictionary. This means I could save more time and effort in learning new words. With just a
click of the mouse, I could get access to more useful information for my English.

3 years ago, because of the effect of the Covid 19, I had to stay at home to study English by myself.
But thanks to the development of technology with many online websites for learning such as Gg
meet and Microsoft team, I could learn it more productively and easily to achieve my Ielts certificate
and enlarge my circle of friends all around the world. Technology also brings me some interesting
lectures with colorful and vivid images that I can absorb the lessons effectively. If we use these
electric devices for learning, it will help us to reduce the time and effort to travel between school and
home. I can stay at home and learn wherever and whenever I want. In conclusion, technology is an
effective tool for everyone who wants to boost and enhance themselves in English and in every
aspect of their life.
