Description This procedure details how to use the Control-M Desktop to research a job
and its flow.
Tools and Reference Control-M
Materials
Entrance Criteria POM-CC can use the Control-M desktop to read scheduled jobs/tables to
view all the dependencies and scheduling properties for any Control-M job.
Exit Criteria Job flow found

Procedure
Use the step-action table to document the detailed procedure steps for how to do the task. Use the
right column to document SLAs, expected results of that step, or other requirements. Document
any validation steps relating to other processes or procedures. If the right column is not needed,
delete it.

1 Open the Control-M Desktop 6.2.01 application
by using one of the below three methods:
 Double clicking on your PC
Control-m desktop icon
 Clicking on the Desktop icon in the
EM toolbar
 Click Tools > Control-M/Desktop
from the EM
2 Click on the “Load from Control-M/EM” icon
( ) or select this option from the File

menu.

a job can run, double click on the job and go
to the Conditions Tab, looking specifically at
the “in conditions” portion of the screen.
6 After your research is complete, disconnect to
unlock the tables. Click on the button on

the toolbar.
9 Click on “Unlock Tables” when prompted.
10 Click File > Exit to close the Desktop Do not save the draft of the job when you
close out of the Desktop application.
