HOW TO USE THIS COMPETENCY- BASED LEARNING MATERIAL
Welcome! to the module Servicing Industrial Electronic Modules, Products and
System This module contains training materials and activities for you to complete.
Th e unit of competencyServicing Industrial Electronic Modules, Products and
System Contains knowledge, skills, and attitudes required for Electrical and Installation
Maintenance NC II.
You must go through a series of learning activities to complete each learning
outcome of the module. In each learning outcome are Information Sheets, Self-Checks,
Task Sheets, Operation Sheets, and Job Sheets. Follow these activities on your own. If
you have questions, don't hesitate to ask your facilitator for assistance.
The goal of this program is the development of practical skills. To gain these skills,
you must learn basic concepts and terminologies. For the most part, you'll get this
information from the Information Sheets.
This module is prepared to help you achieve the required competency in "Servicing
Industrial Electronic Modules, Products and System
It will be the source of information for you to acquire knowledge and skills in this
particular competency independently and at your own pace, with minimum supervision or
help from your learning facilitator.
Remember to:
▪ Work through all the information and complete the activities in each section.
▪ Read information sheets and complete the self-check. These competency-based learning
materials include suggested references to supplement the materials provided in this
module.
▪ Most probably, your learning facilitator will also be your supervisor or manager. He/she
is there to support you and show you the correct way to do things.
▪ You will have plenty of opportunities to ask questions and practice on the job. Make
sure you practice your new skills during regular work shifts. This way, you will
improve both your speed and memory and also your confidence.
▪ Use the Self-checks, Operation Sheets, or Job Sheets to test your progress at
the end of each section.
▪ When you feel confident that you have had sufficient practice, ask your
learning facilitator to evaluate you. Check the Progress Chart and
Accomplishment Chart from time to time for the status of your training.

Reassemble and test repaired industrial electronic products
Learning Objectives
After reading this information sheet, you must be able to:
● Understand Industrial Electronic Systems
● Perform Safe and Accurate Installation Procedures
● Troubleshoot and Maintain Industrial Electronic Systems
Reassembling and testing repaired industrial electronic products is a crucial step in
ensuring their functionality and reliability. Here's a general guide on how to
approach this process:
1. Organize Components: Lay out all the components and parts of the electronic
product in a clean and well-lit workspace. Ensure you have all the necessary tools
and equipment handy.
2. Follow Repair Documentation: Refer to any repair documentation or manuals you
have for the product. This will guide you through the reassembly process and help
ensure you don't miss any important steps.
3. Inspect Components: Before reassembly, inspect each component for any damage
or defects. Replace any faulty components with new ones as needed.
4. Clean Components: Clean all components thoroughly to remove any dust, debris,
or residue that may have accumulated during the repair process. This will help
ensure proper functionality and longevity of the product.
5. Assemble the Product: Begin reassembling the product according to the repair
documentation. Take care to follow the correct sequence and orientation of
components to avoid any assembly errors.
6. Test Functionality: Once the product is reassembled, it's time to test its
functionality. Power on the product and perform various tests to ensure all
components are working correctly. This may include testing power supply,
input/output ports, sensors, and any other relevant features.
7. Perform Quality Checks: After testing, conduct thorough quality checks to ensure
the product meets the required standards. Look for any issues such as loose
connections, abnormal behavior, or any other signs of malfunction.
8. Document Results: Document the results of the testing and any issues
encountered during the reassembly process. This documentation will be useful for
future reference and can help improve the repair process.
9. Final Inspection: Once testing and quality checks are complete, perform a final
inspection of the product to ensure everything is in order. Double-check all
connections, fasteners, and components to make sure nothing was overlooked.
10. Packaging and Shipping: If the product is ready to be returned to the customer,
carefully package it to prevent any damage during shipping. Include any relevant
documentation and instructions for the customer's reference.
By following these steps, you can effectively reassemble and test repaired industrial
electronic products to ensure they are functioning properly and meet the required quality
standards.

SELF CHECK 3.1.1-1
1. Organizing components helps ensure that all necessary parts are readily
accessible and reduces the risk of misplacing or overlooking any crucial
components during the reassembly process.
2. Repair documentation serves as a guide, providing step-by-step
instructions and ensuring that the reassembly process follows the
manufacturer's specifications. It helps prevent errors and ensures that no
important steps are missed.
3. Inspecting components allows technicians to identify any damage or
defects that may have been missed during the initial repair process. This
ensures that only quality components are used in the reassembly, thereby
maximizing the reliability of the repaired product..
