STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

Dear Members of the Admissions Committee,
Iam writing to express my sincere interest in pursuing an MBA in Finance at Humber college. My name is
Manish Sapra, and I am a 19-ycar-old commerce graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Commerce Honours from
Delhi school of Professional Studics and Rescarch under acgis of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha
University, Government of Delhi, India, achieving the esteemed Summa Cum Laude distinction.
During my undergraduate years, I dedicated mysclf to academic excellence and undertook several certificate
courses to enhance my knowledge and skills in finance and related ficlds. These courses include:
1. Excel for Job Simulation by Goldman Sachs: This course cquipped me with advanced Excel skills,
providing a practical understanding of its applications in a professional setting.
2. Series 8- Equity and Derivatives by the National Institute of Securities Market (NISM): Gaining
expertise in cquity and derivatives has allowed me to comprchend the complexities of financial instruments,
preparing me for a role in the dynamic field of finance.
3. Digital Marketing by NPTEL: This certificate course not only broadened my analytical skills but also
introduced me to the strategic use of data in decision-making, a crucial aspect of the modern business landscape.
4. Portfolio Management by NCFM: This course delved into the intricacies of portfolio managemcnt, offering
insights into risk assessment, asset allocation, and investment strategies.
My academic journey began at Holy TrinityChurch School, Ghaziabad, whereI completed my high school
education. I secured 82% in grade 10 and an impressive 92% in grade 12, reflecting my consistent dedication to
academic excellence.
My passion for finance has been a driving force throughout my academic and professional pursuits. The diverse
set of certificate courses, coupled with my comprehensive commerce cducation, has provided me with a strong
foundation for advanced studies in finance. Iam drawn to the MBA program at Humber college because of its
reputed faculty, rigorous curriculum, and the opportunity to cngage with industry leaders.
Iam confident that the MBA in Finance program at Humber College will not only challenge me intellectually
