TALK 1: GOD’S LOVE (Module1)


Goal: To communicate the truth that God loves us and to provide a better understanding of that love

Tenor: AFFIRMING AND ENLIGHTENING

Dynamics:
1. The music ministry plays a set of acoustic love songs
2. Worship
3. The CLP Team Leader gives a brief orientation
4. Introduction of speaker
5. The speaker conducts the writing activity: “What are you most grateful for?” Write down as many
as you can in 1 minute
6. The speaker sings a few lines of his song to God
7. Talk proper
8. Play with video: A Father’s Love
9. The speaker ends with a prayer. Service team then provides hand-outs with prayer
10. Participants proceed with group discussion using metacards: Share about how you have
personally experienced God’s love
11. Play video teaser for the next session
SPEAKER’S PROFILE
A CFC brother who recognizes with awe and gratitude his experiences of God’s (Trinitarian love; he shall
also relate this profound truth to his audience with joy and clarity

TALK 2: WHO IS JESUS CHRIST


Goal: To provide a better understanding of Jesus Christ and draw participants into a friendship with him

Tenor: ENLIGHTENING

Dynamics:
1. Two truths and one lie Activity- The guide is attached at the end of this document
2. Opening video: “’I Am’ Statements of Christ”
3. Talk proper
4. Sharer
5. Reflection (with song)
6. Group discussion
Speaker’s Profile
A CFC leader (brother or sister) who can share on his/ her personal journey of an ongoing personal, life-
giving and loving relationship with Jesus; She/he considers her/himself as a friend of Jesus who can
relate facts and stories about him
Sharer’s Profile
A CFC leader or member (brother or sister) who can share about how her/his life changed for the better
when she/he committed her/his life to Jesus as her savior and friend

TALK 3: REPENTANCE AND FAITH


Goal: To lead people to repent for their sins and turn to renewed faith in Jesus Christ

Tenor: ENLIGHTENING and MOVING

Dynamics:
1. Story telling with photos of the speaker’s personal transformation
2. Talk proper
3. Reflection (silence)
4. Discussion Group Sharing
5. Summary video (c/o service team)
Speaker’s profile
A CFC brother who had a Spirit-driven transformation, from a life away from God to a life filled with God’s
presence and love through repentance and faith; he shall communicate this transformation in light of
God’s powerful mercy and abundant second chances

TALK 4: LOVING GOD AND NEIGHBOR

Goal: To explain the meaning of the Christian ideals of loving God and loving neighbor, and inspire
participants to practice it

Tenor: INSPIRING

Dynamics:
1. Group Activity: What would a Christian do?
The Team leader narrates a scenario (pictures/ video) and asks what a Christian would do in
each scenario
The participants answer by either acting it out or drawing it
2. Talk proper
3. Sharer
4. Reflection: (Characteristics of Christian Love)
5. Group discussion
6. Assignment:
a. Read and reflect on the characteristics of Christian Love
b. Random Act of kindness (RAK) Activity with family
c. Choose an act among the 7-corporal works of mercy which you think is most relevant in your
place
d. Prepare ahead of time, after you choose the activity make a checklist of what to do
e. In choosing the place, make sure that the place where you will conduct your RAK activity is
safe for your children
f. After the RAK activity, share with your family their experience during the activity
g. Take a picture and post it in your group chat or social media accounts. If you decide to post
it on social media, please use the hashtag: #ChristianLove #RandomAcofKindness
#ChristianLifeProgram (name of Chapter), #Year and #CouplesforChrist
Example: #ChristianLifeProgramChristTheKing #2020 #CouplesforChrist
7. Announcement: participants must bring their family/ family picture next session
Speakers profile:
The speaker is a CFC brother or sister who can explain the Christian ideals of loving God and neighbor
without sounding preachy or boastful, but inspiring our participants to respond to God’s invitation

Sharer’s profile:
The sharer is a brother or sister who can testify to his/ her faith journey in learning to love God and
neighbor
TALK 5: THE CHRISTIAN FAMILY

Goal: To stress the importance of the Christian family, and to give practical advice for building up the
strong Christian family

Tenor: INSPIRING

Dynamics:
1. This is a talk show type session where the husband and wife are the speakers and their
children are their sharers
2. Triad Sharing: Participants show their family pics and introduce each member of his/her family
3. Talk proper
4. Sharers (Children of the speakers)
5. Conclusion
6. Group discussion

Speakers profile:
The speakers are a CFC husband and wife tandem who is a strong, Spirit-filled Christian witness in
building a home centered on Christ. They share their journey as a Christian family with its joys, problems
and hopes. It is preferred that their children are also members / leaders of the Family Ministries for a
stronger and more relevant witnessing
Sharer’s profile:
Depending on the number of children the couple may have, the children may share about their life as a
family, how they deepen their faith, and highlights how God moves faithfully and powerfully in their
imperfect family circumstances.

TALK 6: EMPOWERED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT


Goal: To lead people to understand and receive the power and the gifts of the Holy Spirit

Tenor: EMPOWERING

Dynamics:
1. Play a video clip of the Pentecost
2. Talk proper
3. Reflection
4. Group discussion
a. Who is the Holy Spirit for you?
b. Which among the gifts do you want to receive? Why?
5. General pray-over care of the Team Leader
6. Full worship
Note for the team Leader for Online CLP
Explain that the following shall happen physically, when allowed:

Speaker’s profile:
A CFC brother, preferably an elder, who by his experience of fullness of life in, through and by the Holy
Spirit can explain with clarity and inspiration what it means to receive and be empowered by the Holy
Spirit

 THE CHILDREN WILL HAVE AGE-APPROPRIATE SESSION WITH KFC/ YFC/ SFC. (SEPARATE
