V. Answer the following questions?
1. There are lots of foods that I like, but what I like the most is chicken, fried chicken,
grilled chicken, flour chicken, and other processed chicken. I like chicken because it
tastes delicious and savory, especially with the addition of chili sauce. And I also like
other foods such as:
•Padang satay, apart from being delicious, I like it because it comes from my father’s hometown.
•Shrimp, no matter how you cook it, shrimp are delicious.
•Noodles, very suitable to eat when it rains and watch drama
•burger, I like lettuce mixed with meat and bread
•rendang, the spices are really delicious
•lontong vegetable, I really like it with sauce and mixed with crackers
•Fried meatballs, perfect for snacking while studying
•fried rice, very delicious if eaten while it is still hot with crackers
•kimbab, apart from being practical, this Korean food is very suitable for filling the stomach.
•Seblak, I really like it, because it’s delicious.
2. I like both, depending on what I need. To shop for cooking and kitchen needs, I prefer
traditional markets, because apart from the affordable prices, the shopping moment of
bargaining with traditional market traders is very enjoyable, this cannot be done in
supermarkets. And for shopping for personal needs such as soap, toothpaste, shampoo,
skincare, etc., I prefer supermarkets, because they guarantee integrity and authenticity.
3. In my opinion, people like shopping for various reasons, from functional to
psychological needs. Functionally, shopping helps us fulfill life’s needs, such as buying
food, clothing and household goods. Psychologically, shopping can provide pleasure,
satisfaction and self-confidence. Buying new things makes us happy, and there is also
happiness in itself when we can buy something that we hope for or want, and it can also
be a means of healing when we are tired of busy activities.
4. Traditional market:
Excess:
•Cheaper prices
•More choices
•Can bargain
•Support the local economy
•Lively and interactive atmosphere.
Lack:
•Product quality is not guaranteed
•Less comfortable
•Difficult to find items
•Limited opening hours
•Lack of product choice
Supermarket
Excess:
•Product quality is guaranteed
•More comfortable
•Easy to find items
•More product choices
•Additional services available
Lack :
•The price is more expensive
•Less interactive
•Less supports the local economy
