Interview Questions

1. Tell me about yourself.?

Ans.. I am delighted to take this opportunity thanks for giving it to me. My name is
Shivam singla . I am pursuing MCA from chandigarh university to be a UI/UX designer.
Before that I have done my graduation from Modi college Patiala in B.sc . I possess fast
learning skills as you can see I belonged to a non-technical background but I have
learned a lot about computer science field in very short span of time. My projects are
Textutils and Newsapp which are based on a latest techonology called React. I am a keen
learner and will be very happy to enhance and utilize my skills in a organization like
yours.

2. What do you consider to be your greatest strength?

Ans. My greatest strength is my ability to adapt to new situations quickly. I thrive in fast-
paced environments and I am comfortable taking on new challenges. This has helped
me successfully handle multiple tasks simultaneously and deliver results under tight
deadlines.

3. What is your greatest fear?

Ans. "You might think that since I have never worked in my life, and this is only my first
job, my inexperience is my weakness.

But I beg to differ. I am a fast learner and very open minded.

I assure that I do not carry any pre-conceived notions regarding how I feel I should
perform my job."

3. How do you handle stressful situations?

Ans. I handle stressful situations by staying calm and focused. I prioritize tasks,
communicate effectively with the team, and break down complex problems into
manageable parts. I also believe in taking short breaks to recharge and maintain a
positive mindset.

4. How do you prioritize your tasks and manage your time effectively?

Ans . I prioritize tasks by identifying urgent and important activities first. I then create a
to-do list, set realistic deadlines, and allocate sufficient time for each task.

5. What motivates you in your work?

Ans. I am motivated by the opportunity to make a meaningful impact and see the results
of my efforts. I thrive on challenges and enjoy pushing myself to achieve goals.
6. What is your approach to teamwork and collaboration?

Ans . I believe in fostering a collaborative work environment where everyone's ideas and
contributions are valued. I actively listen to my team members, respect diverse
perspectives, and encourage open communication. I enjoy sharing knowledge and
helping others succeed, as I believe that teamwork is essential for achieving optimal
results.

7. What is your biggest weakness?

Ans. Well, as a recent graduate, I’d say my biggest weakness is the lack of real-life work
experience.

While I’ve worked on a dozen software projects in the university, I don’t have the
experience of working in a fully agile environment with an experienced team.

I am, however, willing to do my best and catch up as fast as I can.

8. What kind of work environment do you like best?

Ans. I work best in smaller companies. I really dislike the corporate world - rules,
guidelines, SOPs, and so on. I perform best when I have a certain level of freedom to do
things. Want to find innovative solutions to problems you didn’t even know you had? I’m
your guy.

Want someone to just blindly follow instructions and do what they’re told? Then we’d
probably not be a good fit.

9. What makes you angry?

Ans. "I get angry when I get falsely accused of something that I did not do.”

“Lack of order and discipline also irritates me, but 4 years of hostel life have taught
me to cope and adjust with other people."
10. Are you open to take risks? Or Do you like experimenting?

Ans. "It is always good to venture into new waters and new technologies.I am a very
adaptive person and my diligence helps me pick up new stuff quickly.Experimenting or
taking risks can yield both good and bad results, but the exercise in itself is a great
learning experience.Such experiences generate experts and I want to become UI/UX
expert someday."

11. How quickly do you adapt to new technology?

Ans. "I can adapt quickly to new circumstances. Since I am clear about my job role and I
am mentally prepared to take up challenges, I feel I have the capacity to learn fast and
apply my new knowledge. During my student life, I had to clear new papers and projects
in every semester and thoroughly enjoyed doing it. Similarly, I will enjoy picking up new
technologies in my professional life as well."

12. . How do you feel about working weekends and night shifts?
Ans. "I am a fresher and I hardly have any exposure of the corporate world. Back in
college, weekends were no different from weekdays for us. The assignments, tasks and
projects had to be submitted within deadlines, and to do so, we would study during the
weekdays. As far as night shifts are concerned, I would like to say that I am a nocturnal
person and I like to do my studies generally at night. I have no issues working during
weekends and at night, provided I get enough compensatory offs to relax and wind
down."

13. Where do you see yourself 3 years from now? or Where do you see yourself in 5
years?

Ans. "My current goal is to find a career spot that ensures continued growth alongside
new challenges daily.

3 years from now, I see myself as an experienced and reliable senior in the team and 5
years from now, I assume that I will be ready to take up managerial responsibilities like
product strategy.

I want to have a stable career in a single organization and hope I will get the same
wherever I start."

14. How do you respond to change?

Ans. "I am patient, persistent, practical, and always positive. This helps me cope up with
change smartly."

15. Are you an organized person?

Ans. "Yes, I am quite organized. I keep all my documents, certificates and files labeled and
sorted.

The labels are such that I can retrieve anything that I need instantly, in seconds. I also
have a very clean desktop in my computer."

16. . Are you reliable? Or Can I trust you with responsibilities?

Ans. "Yes, I am a reliable person. I like helping my friends and family, whenever I get a
chance. Be it an emotional boost or a financial aid, I am always around for them."

17. What are the three things that are most important for you in a job?

Ans. "Professionalism, growth and a healthy work-life balance are important."

18. What was the toughest decision you ever had to make?

Ans. "Choosing Engineering over Medical Science after 12th was my toughest personal
decision. But I think I have made the right choice."

19. If you won an Rs.10-crore lottery, would you still work?

Ans: "Yes, I would still work, to build my career. As far as the lottery money is concerned, I
will buy a huge house for my Mom and Dad."
20. .What is the difference between hard work and smart work?

Ans: "Hard work is what every breadwinner does today, including a rickshaw puller or a
daily wager.

Smart work is what the educated masses like us are supposed to do, and some of us

are actually doing it, like my father. A well-balanced combination of both hard work and
smart work is the secret formula to success.

I have friends who study all through the year and yet have 10 back papers to clear. They do
not have any interview calls in their kitty, and what do you think is the reason behind this?

It is their lack of understanding about smart work. All year through, they were only working
hard, but not smartly.

They did not prioritize their goals properly.

Again, there's me, I do not have any back papers and have a decent CGPA. I am also
attending this interview today. Whatever might be the outcome, I feel I have prioritized my
goals correctly and have worked both hard and smart.

That is the difference between hard work and smart work."

21. What makes you happy?

Ans: "Exercising energizes me and keeps me happy. I would say that working out on a
regular basis keeps me charged as it keeps my mind and body healthy. I am not a work
out freak but I follow a healthy way of living.

After channelizing my extra energy in cardio, I feel charged at work and tend to deliver
better. Going on long rides or weekend trips on my Royal Enfield cruiser bike, also makes
me feel happy."

22. Are you willing to relocate or travel?

Ans. "I would definitely consider it. If the opportunity given to me is appropriate,
rewarding and feasible, I don't think I will have any issues with the relocation or traveling
involved”.

23. How long do you think you will work for us after we hire you?

Ans: "I am fresher and nothing can be better for me than starting my professional career
in a reputed company like yours. If everything goes well, I will be looking forward to a
long stint here, as long as the company needs me."

24. Do you prefer hard work, or smart work?

Ans. “I don’t particularly have a preference - I believe that both hard and smart work is
important to get the best results.

Smart work, on one hand, lets you figure out the best and most efficient way to get
things done.
Hard work, on the other hand, means that you’ll do the job right. Even if there’s no way
to do it smart or efficiently, you’ll be willing to put in long hours of work to get it done.

I’m the type that does both.

25. What do you like to do outside of work?

Ans. I’m a huge foodie. My friends and I love trying new restaurants in town as soon as
they open—the more unusual the better! I love discovering new foods and cuisines, and
it’s also a great activity to share with friends. I try to go out with the same group at least
once a week and it’s a fun way to make sure we keep in touch and share experiences
even when we’re busy with other things.

26. How do you prioritize your work?

Ans. I’d be lost without my daily to-do list! At the beginning of each workday, I write out
tasks to complete, and list them from highest to lowest priority to help keep me on track.

27. What motivates you?

Ans. I’m driven primarily by my desire to learn new things—big or small—and take on
new responsibilities so that I’m constantly growing as an employee and contributing
more to my team and organization.

28. Do you prefer working independently or on a team?

Ans. I enjoy a blend of the two. I like having a team to strategize with, get diverse
opinions from, and reach out to for feedback. But I am also comfortable taking on
assignments that require me to work independently. I find I do some of my best work
when I can focus alone in a quiet space, but I really value collaborating with my
teammates to come up with the best ideas.

29. What are your salary expectations?

Ans. Based on my skills and experience and on the current industry rates, I’m looking at
a salary around 12 lpa.

30. Why should we hire you?

Ans . You should hire me because I bring a unique combination of skills and passion to
this position. I have a proven track record of achieving results, a strong ability to adapt to
new challenges, and a genuine enthusiasm for the industry. I am confident that my
dedication will make a valuable contribution to your team and the company's success.
