INSTRUCTION SSAS REPORT FOR FELCOM 15

1. Press [F8] to show System Setup menu. Choose System Setup and then press the [Enter] key.

2. Press [↓] to choose Command Window and then press the [Enter] key.

3. On the Enter JOB No. field, type “ssas manager” (without the quotation marks) and then press
the [Enter] key.

4. Write password and then press the [Enter] key to go into the “SSAS Manager Mode”. The
indication “SSAS Manager Mode” is shown at the top of the screen when this mode is
activated, and it is flashing on the FELCOM15.
5. Press [F7] key to display the Options menu. Choose Test [7] and press the [Enter] key.

6. Press the [4] key.

7. Press the [Enter] key to start the test.

The display shows the message (in red) “Distress/SSAS buttons are under test. Cancel the test
mode if a real distress/SSAS needs to sent.” appears.

8. Open the button cover on the No.1 SSAS


9. Push the button in. The CAUTION window display message “SSAS UNIT works correctly.”
appears if the unit is functioning properly.
10. 30 seconds after the button is pushed in the SSAS test report is automatically sent to the
station(s) whose Mode set on the SSAS Report window is “Real+Test” or “Test Only”.
11. Turn the button on the No.1 SSAS off.

Note: To test the No.2 and No.3 SSAS repeat steps 9-11
