How I change yarn color
Pull the yarn of a new color through 2 loops on the hook when crocheting
single crochet.
Start crocheting with new yarn color
1: Chain 2, and start crocheting in the second chain from hook 6 sc (6)
2: 6 inc (12)
In the next round, crochet the paws.
3: 1sc, chain 8, and start crocheting in the second chain from hook 7 sc
(the first paw),
inc, (1sc, inc)*2,
1sc, chain 8, and start crocheting in the second chain from hook 7sc (the second
paw),
inc, (1sc, inc)*2 (18)
In the next round, bend the paw to yourself
4: (4sc, dec)*3 (15)
5: (3sc, dec)*3 (12)
In the next round, crochet the paws
6: 1sc, chain 13 (photo 1) and start crocheting in the second chain as usual,
grabbing the keychain:
- Insert the hook into the chain (photo 2)
- Put the loop of the keychain onto the hook (photo 3)
- Crochet the working yarn through the loops of the keychain and chain (photo 4)
- There are two loops on the hook. Crochet through them with the working yarn
(photo 5)
Continue crocheting 11 sc to the end of the paw (the first paw) (photo 6),
(photo 1) (photo 2) (photo 3)
(photo 4) (photo 5) (photo 6)
6sc, chain 13, and start crocheting in the second chain from hook (grabbing the
keychain) 1sc, and continue crocheting 11 sc (the second paw),
5sc (12)
Pay attention when crocheting the keychain into the second paw. They must not
twist (neither the keychain nor the first paw).
7: 6dec (6)
8: 6inc (12)
Stuff the body
(use long tweezers or a wooden stick to assist you)
9: 12inc (24)
Crochet beautiful muzzle, changing the yarn colors.
Fold the head in half, as shown in the photo below. Find the central stitch on the
front side and place a stitch marker (the 8 th sc).
We will crochet from this stitch.
Count 4 sc to the right and place a stitch marker.
Take off the central marker.
Note, for your convenience, I made a colored chart.
10: beige 5sc, white 8sc, beige 11sc (24)
11: beige 4sc, brown 3sc, white 4sc, brown 3sc, beige 10sc (24)
12: beige 5sc, brown 3sc, white 2sc, brown 3sc, beige 11sc (24)
13: beige 6sc, white 6sc, beige 12sc (24)
Cut white and brown yarn and secure it.
Install the safety eyes between rounds 11 and 12.
The distance between the eyes is 4 sc.
14: (2sc, dec)*6 (18)
15: (1sc, dec)*6 (12)
Stuff the head with fiberfill.
16: 6 dec (6)
Complete stuffing the head.
Secure yarn and hide the tail inside the part.
Sculpt the eye sockets. Tighten each eye separately.
Start inserting and drawing the needle out under the eyes (not in the center of the
head).
Embroider the nose with black cotton thread.
Our sloth is finished!!!
