TASK 1

1. Every one of us should become a vegetarian because eating meat can cause
serious health problems.

- Introduce: Some people could argue that eating meat has a detrimental effect on our
health and that we should switch to a vegetarian diet.
- Although supporters of vegetarianism claim that meat causes some health issues but
meat in the diet provides necessary nutrients for optimal health and well-being,
including protein, vitamins, and several other materials which can be more difficult to
obtain from a vegetarian diet alone. Moreover, some studies have even suggested
that moderate consumption of certain types of meat may have health benefits, such
as reducing the risk of heart disease and stroke.
TASK 2
Topic 2: “The healthcare system should be free to all people.”
Do you agree or disagree with this statement? Use reasons and examples to support
your ideas. Please be noted that an effective argumentative essay should contain
opposing argument(s), rebuttal(s) to the opposing argument(s), and your own
arguments

Some people claim that everyone should have access to essential healthcare systems
incurring costs that hinder such access. I completely agree with this opinion and think that
this should be ensuring everyone has access to necessary healthcare.

While there are many benefits to providing free healthcare systems, there are also significant
concerns and challenges. Universal healthcare would be too expensive to maintain, and it
would lead to longer wait times and lower quality care. However, the evidence shows that
free healthcare systems can cut total health expenses per person by lowering administration
costs and enhancing efficiency. In addition, drug prices are frequently cheaper, and
government healthcare programs with universal coverage are more able to discuss cheaper
prescription costs with the pharmaceutical business. For instance, The UK's National Health
Service, which provides universal healthcare, pays on average 60% less for prescription
drugs compared to US prices so it is an efficient way to keep lower costs to maintain.

Another concern is the possibility of higher wait times. However, countries with free
healthcare systems still provide timely care for urgent and emergency issues. The difference
in wait times is primarily for non-critical procures. While potentially inconvenient, such delays
may be an acceptable trade-off for ensuring everyone has access to necessary healthcare.
For example, in the UK’s National Health Service, patients needing hip or knee replacement
may wait several months for elective surgery, but emergency and hospital admissions
happen without significant delays, they have been successful in providing quality healthcare
systems to everyone and suitable time for each case.

In conclusion, the cost of maintenance, wait times and quality care can be solved in a
suitable case. This allows the healthcare system to prioritize the critical needs of the
population as a whole.
