ABSTRACT

Home automation has rapidly evolved with the advent of voice-controlled systems, transforming traditional
living spaces into intelligent environments. This paper explores the integration of voice-controlled
technologies with electrical devices, enhancing convenience, energy efficiency, and security in residential
settings. Leveraging natural language processing (NLP) and Internet of Things (IoT) frameworks, modern
home automation systems enable users to manage lighting, climate control, entertainment, and security systems
through simple voice commands. The study examines the architecture of these systems, focusing on their
components, communication protocols, and interoperability with various devices. Additionally, it addresses
the challenges associated with voice recognition accuracy, data privacy, and user adaptability. Through case
studies and user feedback, the paper highlights the practical benefits and potential limitations of implementing
voice-controlled home automation. The findings suggest that while there are technical and societal hurdles to
overcome, the future of voice-controlled home automation is promising, with significant implications for
enhancing the quality of life and promoting smart living.
