III. INTRODUCTION

▪ REV. FR. LYNDON VALENTON introduced himself. He proudly told the body that Sis Tita Sadsad also
looked after him when he was still a young priest. He served BIR as a chaplain for ten years. His first
parish was San Vicente, Mexico. Now, he is currently at Santa Monica Parish Church, Minalin, Pampanga.
▪ Among Pep Bacay is one of his buddies along with two more because of their similar interest which is
basketball. And now that they are advancing in years, they have paused a bit because of frozen shoulders.

1|Page
▪ The reason of his visit, it is because he was tasked for the Parish Consultation. Before, it was the
clergies who were being asked regarding the status of the parish.
▪ But now, Archbishop Dong Lavarias requested them to go to the parishes and consult the parishioners
themselves so they could be evaluated and assessed who could fill-in the parish that they will be leaving.
▪ The consultation is not about the Parish Priest but about the Parish.

IV INTRODUCING ONESELF
▪ Fr. Lyndon Valenton asked everyone present to introduce themselves and tell what is their role in the parish;
with regards to the role that they carry out, what have they done for the parish.

NAME POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. WILLIAM F. SUNDIAM PPC COORDINATOR ▪ Plans, organizes and implement programs and
policies.
▪ Coordinates with ministries to see if the Parish’s
programs are put into effect.
▪ Looks into and reviews progress of the activities
so as to ensure that everything is accomplished
in a way that is beneficial to everyone.
▪ THE STO. NIÑO PARISH PRAYING AND HELPING
HAND MINISTRY which was initiated by our Parish
priest was formed only recently and it is a one year
plan. This Parish consolidated pastoral plan merges
four programs:
1. The Devotion to the Santo Niño de Praga
2. The Parish Catechetical Program and Sto.
Niño Parish-Formation Center for Children
3. The BEC Program
4. MALUKA ( Church of the Poor ) Program
▪ The devotion to Sto Niño de Praga was revived
to continue and promulgate the devotion.

Founding anniversary.
▪ Its activities are more on the Spiritual and
Corporal works of Mercy like Feed the hungry,
Clothe the naked, visit the sick, visit the imprisoned
and others.
▪ However, since MALUKA was created, situations
changed because most of the activities of the
Ladies of Charity were handed down to MALUKA.
Yet, the Ladies of Charity still continued with their
regular activities like visiting the sick, gift giving
and outreach. Before pandemic, Bahay Pag ibig,
Munting Tahanan ng Nazareth, Children’s Home of
Eucharistic love and Kindness at Telabastagan and
Aetas at Diaz Porac and Florida Blanca are
frequently visited.
▪ We still continue visiting this orphanages but not
as frequent as before because we focused on our
own parishioners who are under privileged.
▪ The LOC often now assist MALUKA in their
activities like feeding and gift giving.
▪ Lately, the LOC collaborated with the SNP
Formation Center for Children. Since the Legion of
Mary gives lessons on formation and values to
children, the LOC started giving some simple

2024. The LOC plans to pursue this activity in the
future with more lessons that will develop their
skills.

▪ Brgy San Juan has financial obligations for the air

difficult.

“Kumustahan.” Its objective is to build rapport
among married couples.
▪ There will be another Post Cana Seminar this
June 2, 2024 at the Parish function Hall
❖ Among Lyndon requested the couple, Bro
Jonathan and Sis Loi if they could accommodate
his parish because his facilitators passed away.
❖ Among Lyndon also hopes that the Archdiocese

the priests on what to do. The solemnity of the
wedding is fading away.

V. CONSTITUTIION OF THE PARISH
▪ The Parish comprises three Barangays: Sto Niño, San Juan and Magliman.
▪ Under Sto Niño are eleven sitios: Capitol Blvd., Bulaklak Village, Montesmar, PC Compound, San Fernando
Subdivision, Triangulo, PNR, Sitio 7, Sitio 8, Sitio 9 and Magdalena.
▪ Right from the start, it has eight chapels but apparently PNR chapel was abolished due to the construction
of the railway. PC compound chapel will also be abolished in the future the land where the chapel stands
does not belong to the sitio.
▪ Active SITIO chapels where Among Pep regularly celebrate Masses are the following:
Sacred Heart Chapel ( San Fernando Subd.) and Triangulo every Saturday.
BARANGAYS: Centro ( Sunday ), San Juan ( Saturday ) and Magliman ( Sunday )
▪ On special occasions like Simbang Bengi, Christmas and New Year, Sitio 9 ( Sto. Nino Viejo ) invites guest
priests to celebrate their Masses because Among Pep cannot accommodate them anymore.
▪ MEGAWORLD will also be under the parish in the future. Before, there were meetings held with
Among Pep when Megaworld was starting its construction. Megaworld will shoulder all the expenses in
building the chapel. However, the Management will be taken over by the Parish and not Megaworld. Initially,
Megaworld will be allotting Three Thousand square meters for the chapel. However, Among Pep said that
he’ll be requesting for at least Seven thousand and more square meters. He plans it to make it a tourism
hub.
▪ Initially it was proposed that this will serve as a Shrine and Holy Mass will be celebrated and likewise
sacraments like wedding and others.
▪ However, it will be difficult to build it as a shrine so the parish opted to make it a religious center.
▪ There is already a Memorandum of Agreement prepared; subject for approval.
▪ Before Megaworld was aggressive, but now they slowed down in negotiations.
▪ Among Lyndon said that whoever comes in once Among Pep leaves the parish must have interest and
know how in terms of dealings because if not, the plan will not materialize.

VI. PARISH CONTINUING PROGRAM

▪ The Consultation questionnaire has all been answered.
▪ If ever Among Pep will have to leave the Parish, the following are that programs the body wishes to
continue.
► SNP PHHM ( Sto. Nino Parish Praying and Helping Hands Ministry ) in which four programs of the
parish merges.
1. The Devotion to the Santo Niño de Praga which was revived only this 2024. Similar to the Cruzada of
the Virgen delos Remedios and Cristo Del Perdon, the Image also visited all Barangays and sitios of the
parish. The activity was organize to create awareness and stir up the devotion. The Parish will used this as
a vehicle so that the Parish will have a regular devotion to our patron – the endpoint of the Cruzada.
2. The Parish Catechetical Program and Sto. Niño Parish-Formation Center for Children
3. The BEC Program
4. MALUKA ( Church of the Poor ) Program – Assists the poor so as to make them closer to God.

VII. CONCLUSION
▪ Among Lyndon remarked that while he was listening to everyone, he was also thinking at the same time,
who could replace Among Pep in Sto. Nino as he leaves. But eventually he thought that any one can go to
the parish because it is not the priest who works but the parishioners. We must put an end to the
mentality that “Ang Pari ay ang Hari.” Whatever the priest wanted must be granted. It is true that like us,
they also have some tantrums, interests and charisma.
▪ But through the parishioners, whatever good is happening in the parish must be continued regardless

9|Page
whoever comes. If ever they are not supportive, they have no interest, we can go to the Archbishop being
the last resort.
▪ There must be a constant dialogue between the priest and his parishioners.
▪ It is not the parish priest that mobilize and to push forward but the parishioners.
▪ The Parish is not about the priest. The Parish is about “US” the parishioners.
Whatever programs we think is good for all especially to the poorest of the poor, we must continue them.
It is not the priest that we serve, but the Lord.

VI. Meeting adjourned at 6:15 p.m.
