About DGT
The Directorate General of Training (DGT) in Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship is
the apex organisation for development and coordination at National level for the programmes
relating to vocational training including Women's Vocational Training. Industrial Training Institutes
are under the administrative and financial control of State Governments or Union Territory
Administrations. DGT also operates Vocational Training Schemes in some of the specialized areas
through field institutes under its direct control. Development of these programmes at national level,
particularly in the area concerning common policies, common standards and procedures, training of
instructors and trade testing are the responsibility of the DGT. But, day-to-day administration of
Industrial Training Institutes rests with the State Governments/ Union Territories Administrations.

About NSTI, Vidyanagar, Hyderabad


National Skill Training Institute (NSTI) is one of the premier institutes run by the by the
Directorate General of Training (DGT), Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship,
Govt.of India. It was initially set up by the Directorate General of Employment and Training
(DGE&T), Ministry of Employment and Labour, Govt. of India in the year 1963 with the main
objective of imparting training to the instructor of ITIs in the country.
The mission and vision of NSTI Hyderabad to impact Quality training upgrading skills of the
industrial workforce in emerging areas. Another important objective of NSTI is continually
making efforts to bridge the gap between industry & academics and to enhance the
employability skills of craftsman to enhance the credibility of certification for Craft Instructor
Training and to facilitate placement through its placement cell.

To make this institute as pioneering in providing skill training and learning service with focus
on maintaining International standards.
Mission

To strive to continually upgrade and update the skills of technical personnel by systematic
training and keep them abreast with the technological advancement to foster innovation &
emphasis on higher productivity.
COURSES OFFERED
i) Craft Instructor training course under craft instructor training scheme (CITS) for
one year duration.
ii) New age course for Craftsmen Training Scheme (CTS) for one year duration
ii) A special short-term course for CNC Programming and operation in Turning and
Milling, CAD / CAM, Process Instrumentation Lab as per the demand of state
directorates and other training institutions sponsored Instructor staff for two weeks
or Govt / Pvt establishments.

Objective:
To provide requisite knowledge, skill, proficiency, Competency & hands-on experience to carryout
Quality Control (QC), Quality Assurance (QA), SPC in-line / process components /intricates parts
through advanced Metrology & Engineering Inspection techniques, which are relevant to Modern
industries.
Qualification:
ITI / DIPLOMA / DEGREE in Mechanical related trades / Engineering based disciplines.
Qualification is relaxable for industrially sponsored candidates having industrial experience.

Basics of HPC, Symbols, working principles, function and use of single, double solenoid valves - 4/2, 4/3,
pressure switches, function and applications of programmable logic controllers, function and operations of

a. Application forms can be obtained from the Institute directly or downloaded from our website: nsti-

b. Attested copies of educational qualification & experience to be enclosed alongwith the application
nominees sponsored by SSI should enclose a copy of valid SSI registration certificate.
c. Application with necessary enclosures should reach the Institute atleast four weeks prior to the
commencement of the scheduled course.
d. Application & Registration fee once paid will not be refunded ay any cost.
e. Nominees should report at the institute with the intimation / confirmation letter on the day of
commencement of the course at 9 am.
f. If Monday happens to be a holiday, the scheduled courses will commence on next working day and
If Friday happens to be a holiday, the scheduled course will conclude on the previous working day.
g. The Regional Director may change / cancel any training program without assigning any reason.
h. Hostel facilities are limited & accommodation is allotted on first come first serve basis.

i. Under any circumstances participants accompanying family members will not be provided room in
the hostel. Such requests for family accommodation will not be entertained.
j. The courses will conclude at 5.00 pm on the last working day of the course. Certificates & Relieving
orders will be issued only after 5.00 pm on the last day.
