NARRATIVE REPORT WEEK 1
(NATIONAL LEARNING CAMP)
Throughout the period of July 1-19, 2024, I had the privilege of serving as a teacher in
Reading in the National Learning Camp, an educational program dedicated to foster
academic growth and personal development among Elementary learners. The camp was held
at Tawantawan Integrated School.
My role as a teacher was to guide and facilitate the learners’ academic journey,
helping them to develop their critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills.
The camp curriculum encompasses a wide range of subject, from Reading and Mathematics.
Each day begun with engaging lectures, interactive discussions, and hands-on activities,
design to challenge and stimulates the students’ intellectual curiosity. In addition, to the
academic component, the camp also emphasized the importance of character development
and personal growth. We conducted workshops and activities. We also putted up booth camp
to let the learners explore and discover. We also conducted LAC sessions every Monday and
Friday to evaluate and feedbacks throughout the learning sessions every week. It was truly
inspiring to witness the learners; growth and transformation as they became more confident,
empathetic and self-aware.
Throughout the entire camp period, an atmosphere of camaraderie and friendship
prevailed. The Learners, teachers and staff formed deep connections creating a supportive
and inclusive community. As the camp concluded on July 19, 2024, the learners were
encouraged to reflect on their experiences and create actions plans to continue their academic
and personal growth.
Overall, the National Learning Camp was a transformative experience for both the
learners and teachers involved. As a teacher, I am immensely proud to be part of this
educational program and witness the positive impact it had on the lives of the learners. I am
confident that they will carry the lessons learned and skills acquired into their future
endeavors, in making a difference in their communities and the world at large.

NARRATIVE REPORT WEEK 1
(NATIONAL LEARNING CAMP)
During the first week of the National Learning Camp, I had the privilege of teaching
Reading to a group of enthusiastic Elementary Learners. The week was filled with exciting
lessons and engaging activities aimed at developing their Reading skills and critical thinking
abilities.
On the first day of the camp, I introduced myself to learners and motivated them to
approach learning reading with an open mind and a positive attitude. We started the week by
reviewing fundamental concepts from previous years, ensuring that everyone had solid
foundation to build upon.
To make the lessons more engaging and reliable, I incorporated real-life applications
of reading. This will help the learners understand the relevance and practicality of reading in
their everyday lives.
At the end of the week, we conducted a review session to assess the learners’ progress
and identify areas for improvement.
Overall, the first week of the National Learning Camp as a reading teaching was a
rewarding and fulfilling experience. I am confident that the knowledge and skills they gained
during this week will serve as a solid foundation for future academic pursuits and beyond.

A national learning camp is an effective way to help struggling learners and those
eager to strengthen their knowledge by enhancing what they have learned, and today marked
the tenth day of the implementation of the National Learning Camp. Throughout the previous
days of the learning camp, demonstrated their learning as they were eager to join and learn
new things, and the teachers supported the learners with all their might. So long as there are
learners who want to know, teacher heroes are willing to devote their time to their learners to
nurture them. Teachers used varied learning styles to meet the needs of each learner.
They started the day with an engaging activity to keep learners vibrant and away from
boredom. The three learning camps were handled effectively on this day because of the
campers' enthusiasm for learning. There has been a significant change in the way they learn.
But in the Elementary level, we have one learning camp only handled, the Intervention
campers are a lot more focused on their learning pace. Teachers prepared fun learning
activities for the intervention campers, and it was fulfilling that they improved every day.
Though we can't deny that some learners were far behind in the intervention campers, as an
effective intervention for this, they are separated and have a one-on-one teaching focus on
those learners. In this way the teacher was focused on helping that learner learn, giving them
an opportunity for equal education. Intervention campers exhibited significant learning,
mastering the different reading texts and their comprehension. They were participatory during
the fun activities that showed understanding and knowledge, and as this day ends, they show
satisfaction with the lessons every day. Though they struggled slightly with the different
writing activities, they did their best to finish it.
Assessing the student's achievement at the end of the week is the best way to tell if a
particular learner is progressing. It is also helpful if there is a need to modify the teacher’s
learning style. That will be significant during the collaboration.
To sum up the day, it was indeed fun and productive.

The National Learning Camp (NLC) is a voluntary program launched
by the Department of Education (DepEd) in 2023 to address the learning loss
many students experienced during the COVID-19 pandemic. The NLC is
designed to provide students with additional support in the areas of literacy and
numeracy. In Initao South District, our school, Tawantawan Integrated
School came alive, with the laughter of young minds eager to explore, learn,
and discover more on their journey in the coming camp.
The National Learning Camp started last July 1, 2024, and ended July 19,
2024. Before implementing the National Learning Camp, TIS teachers attended
an orientation last July 1, 2024, Monday at Initao Central School. We then
conducted a LAC Session last July 6, 2024, before having an opening program
last July 1, 2024. We distributed parental consent forms to parents who were
willing to let their children attend the said camp. Differentiated instructions
and teaching strategies were used by our dear teachers. Tents, learning
camp stations, flaglets, big books, flip charts, booklets, and different materials
for learning were made available for the campers. Various activities were also
provided for the campers, such as Small group instruction, Individual tutoring,
Hands-on activities, board games, Questions and answers, film
viewing, reflection making, and a lot more. Campers were handled
effectively is the Intervention Camp pupils were assigned different tasks. More
fun-filled activities outside the classroom setting were prepared by the teachers.
During the culmination program, all active pupil campers received
awards and certificates of Recognition. Intermission numbers from campers of
different grade levels, messages from respective class advisers, and words of
gratitude from our dear school head Mrs. Merly J. Sandoval, were part of the
said program. Campers were also given awards and commendations for their
achievements.
We also thanked the parents who in another way permitted their children
to go to school and attend the National Learning Camp. Before ending the said
program, we then announced the scheduled date of the first day of School Year
2024 – 2025. The National Learning Camp, spanning from July 24, 2024, to
August 25, 2025, proved to be a transformative experience for all
