with Rohan’s family who are at their home, packing their bags.
Mom: (Packing bags) Ravi, Maya, are you both ready for our trip to the Ganga
Ghat?
Ravi: Yes, Mom! I’ve packed my toys and my new shoes.
Maya: And I’ve packed my notebook to write about our trip!
Dad: Remember, kids, we're going to see the beautiful Ganga river. We must also
be responsible and keep the place clean.
Ravi and Maya: Yes, Dad!
Scene 2: At the Ganga Ghat
(The stage is set to look like the banks of the Ganga River. Maya and Ravi are
playing by the river, splashing water and having fun.)
Narrator: Welcome to the beautiful banks of River Ganga. Maya and Ravi are
here to enjoy the day, but little do they know, the river has something important
to say.
Maya: (laughing) The water feels so nice, Ravi!
Ravi: Yes, it's so refreshing! But look at all this trash floating around. It's making
the river dirty.
Maya: You're right. We should clean it up.
(They start picking up some trash and placing it in a bag.)
River Ganga: (with a soft, echoing voice) Thank you, children. Your kindness
touches my heart.
Maya: (surprised) Did you hear that, Ravi? The river is talking!
Ravi: (astonished) Yes, I did! River Ganga, is that you?
River Ganga: Yes, it is I, Ganga. I have been flowing here for centuries, but I am
sad because people are polluting me with trash and waste.
Maya: Oh no! We didn't know you could feel sad, River Ganga.
Ravi: We will help you. We promise to keep you clean and tell others to do the
same.
Scene 3: Enter the Trash Monster
(A scary-looking Trash Monster enters, scattering garbage around.)
Trash Monster: (laughing wickedly) Ha! Who cares about cleanliness? Let’s make
everything dirty!
Maya: Stop! You’re making our river dirty!
Ravi: We won't let you do this!
River Ganga: Children, you have the power to defeat the Trash Monster. Spread
the message of cleanliness and take action.
Maya and Ravi: (together) We will!
(They start picking up trash quickly and chanting)
Maya and Ravi: Keep our river clean, keep our Ganga pure!
Trash Monster: (shrinking and weakening) No! What is happening to me?
Maya: When we keep the river clean, you lose your power!
Ravi: Cleanliness is our strength!
Trash Monster: (disappearing) Nooo!
Scene 4: The Happy River
(The stage is clean, and the river looks clear and sparkling. Maya and Ravi smile,
holding their trash bags.)
River Ganga: Thank you, children. You have saved me. Remember, a clean river
means a healthy life for everyone.
Maya: We will always keep you clean, River Ganga.
Ravi: And we will teach others to do the same.
Mom: It’s our duty to protect you, Ganga.
Dad: Cleanliness is important for everyone’s health and happiness.
Ganga: Thank you, family. Remember, your small efforts make a big difference.
Scene 5: Reflection
(The family sits down together, looking at the river.)
Ravi: Today was fun, and we learned so much.
Maya: Yes, we should always keep our surroundings clean.
Mom: I’m proud of you both. Let’s promise to keep every place we visit clean.
Dad: A clean environment is a happy environment.
Family Together: We promise to keep our world clean!
(The family and Ganga wave to the audience, ending the play on a positive
note.)
Narrator: And so, the family enjoyed their trip to the Ganga Ghat, learning the
importance of cleanliness and respect for nature. Remember, just like Maya and
Ravi, we all can make a difference. Keep our rivers clean and our planet healthy.
Let’s all do our part to keep our surroundings clean and beautiful!
