100 years of know-how

In 1924 the letterpress printer Alois Kandlbinder
founded BIRKAN in Munich together with Ferdin-
and Birkner in order to launch his revolutionary in-
vention, which had already been patented in 1922:
A rubber blanket with mounting straps that was go-
ing to considerably simplify printing processes. For
decades, the „Triumph“ blanket was a worldwide
bestseller, paving the way for the success of nume-
rous other BIRKAN products. Today the company is
still run by Kandlbinder‘s descendants.
