SCENARIO
UITM plans to expand network. An internet service provider will assist with build the new department
and connect to the main campus network. In order to accomplish this, new hardware must be installed,
configured, and the router administrator on the current network must be upgraded. They wish to offer
Wi-Fi connectivity to antiquated networks and expand their offerings. Network administrators
enhance network diagrams and simulate live networks. You have been assigned with updating the
simulation to make sure the new configuration works properly before investing on new hardware and
updating the network's actual setup. In addition to the network configuration, you also need to install
a new Wi-Fi access point.
QUESTION 1
Based on the scenario above, you are required to design based on requirement below:
1. Create subnet for WAN connection between router using 130.10.0.0/28
2. Create subnets for each department to accommodate users by using 192.168.1.0/24 network.
The following are the number of hosts required for each department:
a. Law Department (LD) area requires 60 hosts
b. TVET Department (TVT) area requires 55 hosts
c. Science Social Department (SC) area requires 26 hosts
d. ICT Department (ICT) area requires 12 hosts
e. Cafe area wireless network will limit access only for 100 users at a time
3. Develop the network prototype using packet tracer.
a. Apply appropriate topology
b. Create a network plan to connect 4 routers

c. Place all relevant end devices and intermediary devices involved in the network
Add ONE switch for each area.
Add THREE pc at each area to represent number of users.
Add ONE printer for Law (LD) Department
d. For ICT Department
Add ONE switch
Add TWO servers (Email server and web server).
e. Add wireless router for Cafe
f. Connect all devices using the correct type of media.
g. Configure all devices.
