risks.

In this juice dispenser contains the safety refrigerant tetrafluoromethane (R134a). Tetrafluoro-
methane is a colourless and almost odourless gas. Contrary to chlorofluorocarbon (CFC), it does
not adversely affect the ozone layer; however, according to the Kyoto Protocol it must not en-
ter the atmosphere!

In addition to the normal operating noise of the compressor, the flow noises inside the refrige-
rant circuit may be audible. Unfortunately, this cannot be avoided; however, these symptoms do
not affect the performance of the juice dispenser.

While transporting and installing the juice dispenser, ensure to prevent any damage to the
components of the refrigerant circuit.

the mains power supply. These type of connections cannot guarantee the necessary safety (e.g.,
risk of overheating).

The electrical safety of the juice dispenser can only be guaranteed if the equipment is connec-
ted properly to a pre-installed earth conductor system. Compliance with this basic safety prere-
quisite is mandatory. If necessary, contact a certified electrician to proceed with the installation.

The manufacturer cannot be held liable for damage caused by a missing or broken earth con-
ductor system (e.g., risk of electric shock).

Only technicians authorised by the manufacturer shall be permitted to proceed with installation
and maintenance tasks. An improper installation, non-conforming maintenance or repairs tasks
may place the user at considerable risk. In this case, the manufacturer not be held responsible.

2.8 Intended use

The juice dispenser is designed for a specified climate class (N: ambient temperatures of +16
to +32°C, relative humidity up to the max. 75%). The equipment is intended to be used exclu-
sively indoors.

Keep the door open only as long as possible. Otherwise, the temperature inside the refrigera-
ted area will rise. Increased temperatures cause the unnecessary operation of the compressor,
and therefore, increase the power consumption.

Do not cover air intakes and exorcist openings. Otherwise, a sufficient air flow cannot be gua-
ranteed. Furthermore, the power consumption increases, and damage to the components may
be unavoidable.

NOTE
The manufacturer cannot be held liable for damage caused due to non-compliance
with safety information and warnings.

Following appropriate instructions, the operating personnel may be permitted to proceed with
the cleaning tasks.

CAUTION
Be advised that sharp corners and components on the equipment may cause cut-
ting injuries to hands and fingers during the cleaning process.

NOTE
Lukewarm water and some cleaning detergent is perfectly suitable for the cleaning
purposes. Never attempt to use cleaning agents that contain sand, abrasives, soda,
acid, or chlorine. Do not use chemical solutions.

CAUTION
Do not use spray water when cleaning the juice dispenser.

1 Close the valve to the concentrate bag and dispense about 0.2 L of water into an approp-
riate vessel.
2 Activate the equipment switch in order to turn off the juice dispenser. It is not necessary to
disconnect the mains power plug.
3 In order to prevent the build-up of mould fungi, ensure to remove the residue of juice and

9.2 Miscellaneous cleaning tasks

1 The refrigerant condenser must be thoroughly cleaned and inspected once a year by an
authorized service firm.
2 Only clear water shall be used to clean the door seal. Never use oil or grease to treat the
door seal. It will cause the seal to become porous over time. We recommend regular
treatment with TALKUM. This will extend service life of the door seal. A you may obtain the
door seal from the Customer Service (see page 37 “Wear and spare parts list”).
3 Should the mixing nozzle become clogged, place your finger on the spout and press the
product dispense button on the display. Some water will squirt out of the nozzle! This will
clean the nozzle.
4 Please be advised that for hygienic reasons, the replacement of the mixing nozzle and
plastic hose is necessary from time to time. We recommend this replacement to take place
during the quarterly service schedule. Any contamination of this equipment will inevitab-
ly falsify the taste of the juice and may cause a health hazard! After the mixing nozzle has
been cleaned thoroughly and disinfected, it can be reused.

11. Energy-saving and environmental awareness

n A contaminated refrigerant condenser causes an increased level of power consumption.
Clean the condenser as described on page 31 “Maintenance and Cleaning”.
n High room temperatures, direct sunlight, or installing the equipment near a heat source
(stove, heater) increases the power consumption.
n Do not open the door unnecessarily.
n Inspect the condition of the door seal during regular maintenance schedules.
n A cooling temperature set too low, increases the power consumption!

Disposal of the old equipment

In many cases, very valuable materials remain in the old electrical and electronic equipment.
However, they also contain hazardous substances that were necessary for the function and
safety of the equipment. If added to residual waste or treated incorrectly, these substances
may cause a health hazard or damage the environment. Never include your old electrical and
electronic equipment with your residual waste.

Therefore, use suitable collecting points provided by your community in order to return and
recycle electrical and electronic parts. Ensure not to damage the pipes of your refrigeration
unit until it is ready for transport and shipped to an appropriate environmentally friendly was-
te disposal site. And this will ensure that the cooling media contained inside the refrigerati-
on circuit and the oil inside the compressor will not be drained accidentally and escape into
the environment.

Keep children away from the old equipment until it is ready for transport to the waste dispo-
sal site. Read the information provided in this Operating Manual on page 7 “Safety informati-
on and Warnings”.

NOTE
If you have any questions regarding waste disposal/recycling, please contact the ma-
nufacturer!
