SHORT DESCRIPTION: GROUPWARE INTEGRATION

In this exercise you will learn how to configure a Microsoft Groupware System to the SAP Enterprise Portal.

Prerequisites
What portal roles are needed?
To be able to configure the groupware, you need the following roles:

• com.sap.portal.system_admin_role ( System Administration). This role allows access to the System Configuration
• com.sap.netweaver.coll.Collaboration.Administration (Collaboration Administration ). This role allows access to the
different collaboration configuration iViews

Exercise
Configure the Mail Transport
In the demonstration you have seen how to create
• an Exchange Transport
• a System and a System Alias

You will now configure the Mail Transport

Step1: Log-on to your portal

Please log-on to your portal with the user = xx pw = xx (given by the instructor)

Step2: Check roles on top level navigation

After signing into the portal with your user and password, please make sure you have the proper roles assigned to you.
On the top level navigation you should have:
• Collaboration Administration
• System Administration
• Mail (Outook Web Client)

Step 3: Go to Collaboration Administration -> Collaboration Content -> Configure Groupware Transport

Step 4: Go to JavaMail Transport, click on New

Step 5: Type in the following:

AliasName: Exchange
Sentitemsfolder: leave it blank
SmtpServer: mail.sap.corp
TransportClassNames: com.sap.ip.collaboration.gw.impl.transport.javamail.JavaMailTransport

click finish

Step 6: You have now configured the mail transport, so that you can send e-mails. Go now to your
collaboration launch pad and create an e-mail message

Step 7: Go now to your WebClient. You should find the e-mail in your mailbox.
