This is a competition of skills and proficiency in Integration techniques.
2) The coverage of the Integration Bee shall be the computation of indefinite
integrals (antiderivatives) of polynomial functions, root functions, exponential and
logarithmic functions, trigonometric functions, and integration by parts.
3) The format of the competition is a 4-team double elimination bracket where there
are three (3) rounds:
a. Round 1 – Matches 1 & 2 (Easy)
- The winners of this round remain in the upper bracket and are the

This is the final round, and the winner of this round shall be the

4) Each match for each round shall be best-of-three (BO3). This means that the
participant needs to score two (2) points to win the match.
a. To score a point, the participant must outpace his/her opponent and
should have the correct answer. The basis for scoring is the participant’s
answer.
5) During the contest proper,
a. The contestants will be assigned in an area of the glass board where they
can show their computations. They will be provided with markers, erasers,
and cheat sheets that will be used all throughout the competition.
b. The contest will be divided into two parts: Easy Round (Bracket Rounds)
and the Hard Round (Championship Round).
c. Each match will be given three (3) problems for both easy and hard
rounds to be solved and each problem is worth one point.
d. Each integration problem will be allotted two minutes for easy round
(bracket rounds) and four (4) minutes for the hard round (championship) to
answer. Timers will be automatically stopped once both teams have
finalized their answers for checking.
e. Each team will be given a piece of paper bearing the problem and shall
open when they hear the word signal, “Integrate.”
f. The first to score two (2) points will be declared the winner of the match.
g. In case that after 3 questions, nobody got two points, the group with the
highest point will be declared the winner. Furthermore, in cases wherein
the competing groups score 0-0, the match shall be turned into a sudden
death best-of-one (BO1). First to score will be declared the winner.
h. Groups who wanted to challenge the veracity of the solution may do so
after the solution is presented. The decision of the panel of judges will be
final and irrevocable.
6) The integration problem and the correct answer shall be presented on the screen
