Students of this course are expected to:

1. Observe the rules and regulations of the institutions regarding the proper decorum, attendance and the general requirements for a BSIT student as per stipulated in the YBVC Handbook;

2. Equip oneself with relevant, updated and current news and information;

3. Conduct self-paced learning for the basic accounting and financial terminologies and concepts prior to attending this class;

4. Possess extensive knowledge on Word Processing and Spreadsheets as a means to process tasks and activities;

5. Participate actively in all of the discussions and exchange of ideas to earn points for this course using English language as a means of communication;

6. Assert one’s own point of view during the discussion or may initiate discussion/topics relevant to the course without prejudice, bigotry, biases and discrimination and consider individual differences;

7. Monitor their E-Mail/SMS inboxes for announcements, assignments and comments. Hence, all students are required to register in group;

Course Policies:

A. Each program/homework/assignment must be worked on individually unless directed to work in a team


B. Project presentation will be done on the scheduled dates and time only. Failure to present on the given schedule will be given automatically a grade of 5.0 on the given project unless a valid reason will be presented. Statement of excuses should be
presented in a written form signed by your parents or guardians or by the guidance counselor or school administration, otherwise it will not be honored.
C. All outputs must be compiled or interpreted; otherwise no credit will be given to outputs that are not compiled or interpreted.
D. Assignments must be submitted before or on the class begins; unless otherwise directed.
E. Assignments may be submitted up to 3 days late, with a penalty of 10% of the actual score of the assignment or activity for each day late. No credit will be given after 3 days.
F. Special and make-up written outputs (long quizzes, assignments, and seatwork) will be given only if you have justifiable reason/s for falling to submit them.
G. Checking of attendance will be 15 minutes after the time/bell. 30 minutes or more than 30 minutes of late will be mark absent but you are welcome to attend the class.
H. During exam you should secure exam permit and test booklet otherwise you cannot take the exam; if you don’t have exam permit you can take the exam if you have promissory note to take the exams.
I. Scientific calculator must be used for every computation in every mathematical problems during seatwork, quizzes and exams.
J. The use of cellular phones is prohibited during class hours, unless a special permission to use it is granted. In addition, the use of any electronic gadget is prohibited unless otherwise relevant to the class lesson/discussion.
K. K. You are encouraged to discuss your class-related concerns with your subject-teacher.
