INSTRUCTIONS:
 Answers to this paper must be written on the paper provided separately.
 You will not be allowed to write during the first 15 minutes.
 This time is to be spent in reading the question paper.
 The time given at the head of this paper is the time allowed for writing the answers.
 The intended marks for the questions or parts of questions are given alongside the
questions.
 Attempt all questions from section A and any 4 questions from section B
 This question paper contains 10 printed pages.
 All working, including rough work ,must be clearly shown and must be done on
the same sheet as the rest of the answer. Omission of the essential working will
result of the loss of marks.

i) Mr. Mirza’s monthly income is ₹ 7,200 . He spends Rs₹1,800 on rent, [3]
₹2,700 on food, ₹900 on Education of his children, ₹1,200 on other
things and saves the rest. Draw a pie chart to represent the data.
ii) One of the diagonals of a rhombus is equal to its sides. Find the angles [3]
of the rhombus .
iii) Twelve typists ,all working with same speed,type a certain number of [4]
pages in 18 days working for 8 hours a day. Find, how many hours per
day must sixteen typists work in order to type the same number of
pages in 9 days?

i) Find the amount and the compound interest on ₹ 32,000 for 1 year at [3]
20% p.a compounded half yearly.

ii) Construct a quadrilateral ABCD : if AB = 4.3 cm, BC= 5.4 cm, [3]
CD = 5cm, DA = 4.8 cm, and ∠ ABC = 750

iii) The ages of A and B are in the ratio 7:5. Ten years hence, the ratio [4]
of their ages will be 9:7. Find their present ages.

i) The present age of a man is twice that of his son. Eight years hence, [3]
their ages will be in the ratio 7:4. Find their present ages.
ii) Construct a parallelogram ABCD if diagonal AC = 6.4cm,diagonal [3]
BD = 5.6cm and angle between the diagonals is 75 ○
iii) A can do a piece of work in 10 days and B in 15 days. How long will [4]
they take to finish it if they work together?
