yainsi2024, 11:01 How does one prepare for UGC NET management and which book should | prefer? - Quora Garima Tomar sy Related Which is the best book for UGC NET Paper | preparat Preparation Tips for Paper 1 UGC NET - Books Study Material download in? What should be preparation strategy for UGC NET Paper 1? What is best Study Material for UGC NET Paper 1? Where can I get some free online mock tests for UGC Paper 1? What is impact of NTA on new format of Paper 1? Which are best Books for UGC NET Paper 1? Through this blog, we will discuss and address all these questions to ensure that you score 45/50 in UGC NET Paper 1, with just 30 Days of Preparation. (Reading time of 3 minutes) As Paper 1 carries One-Third weightage in overall score, it is important to score well to get JRF/PSU Jobs. Earlier Paper 1 had more time (earlier we had 90 minutes for 50 Questions, now we have 60 minutes for 50 Questions) and option to choose (earlier there was option of choosing any 50 out of 60 questions). Now that both these luxuries are gone, what should be done? Based on our experience at Human Peritus, the proposed strategy is divided into 4 Points: Point 1: Go through last years’ questions. There is nothing more important than this. Make target of going through 20 papers of previous years. You can download all papers in one place from Click Here. If you are studying any book or study material but not doing this, you are not on the part to 45/50 in exam. And please note that, just solving is not sufficient, you have to understand the question and extrapolate all possible questions. For example, in July 2018 exam, there was a question on which colleges are eligible for Prime Minister Research Fellowship? You do not have to stop at finding list of colleges. You also have to learn that eligibility is final year of B. Tech/Integrated M.Tech/M.Sc. You also need to find out and learn that students will be offered Rs.70K per month for first 2 years, Rs.75K for 3rd year, and Rs.80K in 4th and Sth years, You also have to learn that maximum of 3,000 Fellows would be selected in a 3 year period beginning 2018-19, Another thing while doing questions, please find out current relevance of questions. For example, there was a question on NIRF ranking in Aug 2016. While solving this, you do not have to remember ranking of year 2016. You have to remember ranking of year 2018. Similarly, in many papers you will find questions on India Renewable Energy Target of 175 GW by 2022. But mind it, Govt of india has revised this target to 227 GW in June 2018. Third thing, Look for all parallel concepts. If question is on “Formative Evaluation’, you should also be learning "Summative Evaluation, “CCE” ete etc. This approach will take time....May be 10-15 minutes for each question. But if you follow this, you will become so confident that no question will look unfamiliar to you Point 2: Time Management has become equally important. It is almost one minute per question now. Now, you can't afford to spend disproportionately large time on one question, even if you are sure that you can get it right. You have to learn how to skip the question in first 20 seconds, if you are not sure of the answer. And we understand (after years of experience at Human Peritus) that it is NOT easy to learn this art of "skipping fast”. But you have to practice it. tipsy. quora.com/How-does-one-prepare-for-UGC-NET:managemant-and-which-book-should--prefor we ‘ensr2026, 1:01 How does ane prepare fr UGC NET management and which book shou I prefer? - Quora Even if your preparation level might be average, but if you are able to identify and attempt all “EASY” questions only, you chances of getting through are much higher. After exam, number of your friends will complain that they could not go through all questions due to insufficient time; DO NOT be one of them. If the question is from an unfriendly topic, skip it. If the question involves long calculation, skip it. If you are not able to understand the question even after two readings, skip it. The focus should be to find out all EASY questions in 40 minutes. Make sure that you have gone through all 50 questions in first 40 minutes. What to do with remaining 20 minutes? Start with Question 1 again and start attempting “Non-Easy" ones. Since there is no negative marking, you should attempt all questions. Use the strategy of elimination; do not attempt any question without elimination of choices. If you are able to eliminate even one choice, your chances of getting that question right are 33%. Similarly, if you can eliminate two choices, your chances are 50%. So, attempt smartly. Point 3: What about Current Affairs? How do we decide, what to study/exclude for Current affairs (considering that, itis unlimited ocean)? Please note that current affairs questions are only from "Higher Education, Renewable Energy, Media”. Nothing else. And even for these topics, there is no need to read newspapers or current affairs books. There are highly selective sources like website of MoHRD/UGC, PIB, Ministry of Power etc. Point 4: You will find 1-2 questions from Polity, for which you need to prepare 200-300 pages of Indian Constitution. It is better NOT to spend any effort in preparing for this topic, as ROI is low. Use this time for Paper 2 preparation. Based on our experience with UGC NET for last 7 years, Human Peritus team has designed a "3 Component” Preparation Plan, which will take just 30-40 Days of preparation but make you confident to score 45/50. Component 1 (12-15 Days Preparation): We will send you 3 Printed Booklets, to cover Syllabus of Paper- 1. This is concise content prepared by our experts. Each booklet is having 80-90 pages, we expect you to finish them in 12-15 Days. Component 2 (15-20 Days Preparation): Next we will give access to our online platform (from 15 Oct 18), which has all previous years’ questions from 2009 to 2018. But then these questions and their answers are anyway publicly available. What is contribution of Human Peritus here? We did two things. First, Questions are bucketed in 15-16 topics. Second (and this is super exciting), each question has detailed explanation. The objective of this is not to “assess” you but make you “learn” while doing questions. Check cout few sample explanations/answers by Clicking Here. Now imagine yourself going through 1000 such questions. We confidently claim that you will not find such “easy to understand” and “detailed” quality content in any book/material in country. By doing this, we will make you go through 400-500 pages of our content. This is most valuable component of preparation plan. Component 3 (5 Days Preparation): Next, we will provide you 5 FRESH Tests, created by Human Peritus Team (from 30 Oct 2018). You will write them on online platform, just like real NTA exam in Dec 2018. Ifyou go through these 3 Components with us, You are ready to Score 45/50 in Paper 1. Please note that you need NOT refer any other book or previous year Papers. Nothing else. Rather preparation time saved here, may be leveraged for maximizing your score in Paper-2. tipsy. quora.com/How-does-one-prepare-for-UGC-NET:managemant-and-which-book-should--prefor 22
