Name of Strategy: Fuller Approach
Domain: Alphabet Knowledge, Phonics and Word Recognition: Word Reading and Decoding

Objectives:
1. To introduce a letter, its name, and sound following the Fuller Approach sequence
2. To identify words that start with the target letter

Materials:
1. Flashcards
2. Posters with the word families

Procedures:
1. Introduce the letters in English following the sequence of the consonant sounds indicated below:

2. Introduce the vowels as initial sound and then as medial sound.


3. From here, you can then move on to teaching word families following the sequence in the table below. Teach learners to read by word
families with short vowel sounds as medial sound. Follow the sequence: /e/, /a/, /o/, /i/, /u/
