Allgemeine Sicherheitshinweise

Wenden Sie die fünf Sicherheitsregeln vor Beginn der Arbeiten in der genannten
Reihenfolge an.

5 Sicherheitsregeln
1. Freischalten.
Schalten Sie auch die Hilfsstromkreise frei, z. B. Stillstandsheizung.
2. Gegen Wiedereinschalten sichern.
3. Spannungsfreiheit feststellen.
4. Erden und kurzschließen.
5. Benachbarte, unter Spannung stehende Teile abdecken oder abschranken.
Nach Abschluss der Arbeiten heben Sie die getroffenen Maßnahmen in der
umgekehrten Reihenfolge wieder auf.

Qualifiziertes Personal
Stellen Sie sicher, dass nur qualifiziertes Personal im Sinne dieser Betriebsanleitung
an dieser Maschine oder in deren Nähe arbeitet.

Gefahr durch unter Spannung stehende Teile

Unter Spannung stehende Teile stellen eine Gefahr dar. Durch das Entfernen von
Abdeckungen ist der Berührschutz von aktiven Teilen nicht mehr gewährleistet.
Durch Annähern an aktive Teile können die Mindestluft- und -kriechstrecken
möglicherweise unterschritten werden. Berühren oder Annähern kann Tod, schwere
Körperverletzung oder Sachschäden zur Folge haben.
● Stellen Sie sicher, dass während des Betriebs alle Abdeckungen geschlossen
sind.
● Falls Sie Abdeckungen entfernen müssen, schalten Sie die Maschine zuerst frei.
Halten Sie die "Fünf Sicherheitsregeln" (Seite 1) ein.
● Halten Sie Anschlusskästen im Betrieb immer geschlossen. Anschlusskästen
dürfen nur bei stillstehender und spannungsfreier Maschine geöffnet sein.

Gefahr durch rotierende Teile

Rotierende Teile stellen eine Gefahr dar. Durch das Entfernen von Abdeckungen ist
der Berührschutz von rotierenden Teilen nicht mehr gewährleistet. Das Berühren von
rotierenden Teilen kann Tod, schwere Körperverletzung oder Sachschäden zur Folge
haben.
● Stellen Sie sicher, dass während des Betriebs alle Abdeckungen geschlossen
sind.

● Falls Sie Abdeckungen entfernen müssen, schalten Sie die Maschine zuerst frei.
Halten Sie die "Fünf Sicherheitsregeln" ein.
● Entfernen Sie Abdeckungen erst, wenn die rotierenden Teile vollständig zum
Stillstand gekommen sind.

Verbrennungsgefahr durch heiße Oberflächen

Einzelne Maschinenteile können im Betrieb heiß werden. Bei Berührung können
Verbrennungen die Folge sein.
● Berühren Sie keine Maschinenteile während des Betriebs.
● Lassen Sie die Maschine erst abkühlen, bevor Sie mit Arbeiten an der Maschine
beginnen.
● Prüfen Sie vor dem Berühren die Temperatur der Teile. Verwenden Sie bei
Bedarf geeignete Schutzausrüstung.

Störungen im Betrieb
An folgenden Veränderungen gegenüber dem Normalbetrieb erkennen Sie, dass die
Funktion der Maschine beeinträchtigt ist.
● Höhere Leistungsaufnahme, Temperaturen oder Schwingungen.
● Ungewöhnliche Geräusche oder Gerüche.
● Ansprechen der Überwachungseinrichtungen.
Es kann zu Störungen kommen, die mittelbar oder unmittelbar Tod, schwere
Körperverletzung oder Sachschäden als Folge haben können.
● Verständigen Sie umgehend das Servicepersonal.
● Schalten Sie im Zweifelsfall unter Beachtung der anlagenspezifischen
Sicherheitsbedingungen die Maschine sofort ab.

Schäden durch Kondenswasser

Durch Aussetzbetrieb oder Lastschwankungen kann im Maschineninnenraum
Luftfeuchtigkeit kondensieren. Kondenswasser kann sich ansammeln. Feuchtigkeit
kann die Wicklungsisolation beeinträchtigen oder zu Sachschäden, wie Korrosion
führen.
● Sorgen Sie dafür, dass Kondenswasser frei abfließen kann.
Gesundheitsgefährdende Substanzen
Chemische Substanzen, die für Errichtung, Betrieb und Instandhaltung der Maschine
benötigt werden, können gesundheitsschädigend sein. Vergiftungen,
Hautschädigungen, Verätzungen der Atmungsorgane und andere
Gesundheitsschäden können die Folge sein.

Leicht entzündliche und brennbare Substanzen
Chemische Substanzen, die für Errichtung, Betrieb und Instandhaltung der Maschine
benötigt werden, können leicht entzündlich oder brennbar sein. Verbrennungen und
andere Gesundheitsschäden sowie Sachschaden können die Folge sein.
● Beachten Sie die Hinweise in dieser Betriebsanleitung und die
Produktinformationen der Hersteller.
● Halten Sie die entsprechenden Sicherheitsvorschriften ein und tragen Sie die
vorgeschriebenen Körperschutzmittel.

Einsatzvorbereitung, Transport und Einlagerung

Voraussetzungen für sicheres Heben und Transportieren
Wenn Sie die Maschine nicht in einer ihrer Bauform entsprechenden Lage
transportieren oder heben, dann kann die Maschine umkippen, in der
Hebeeinrichtung verrutschen oder herunterfallen. Tod, schwere Körperverletzung
und Sachschäden können die Folge sein.
● Verwenden Sie zum Heben nur die Lastaufnahmemittel, die am Ständergehäuse
angebaut sind.
● Verwenden Sie die Lastaufnahmemittel entsprechend der Lage der Maschine.
● Verwenden Sie nur geeignete Seilführungs- oder Spreizeinrichtungen.

Wenn der Schwerpunkt einer Last nicht in der Mitte zwischen den Anschlagstellen
liegt, dann kann die Maschine beim Transportieren oder Heben umkippen, in der
Hebeeinrichtung verrutschen und herunterfallen. Tod, schwere Körperverletzung
oder Sachschäden können die Folge sein.
● Beachten Sie bei allen Transportarbeiten die ggfs. auf der Maschine
angebrachten Handhabungshinweise.
● Achten Sie auf die unterschiedliche Belastung der Anschlagseile oder
Hebebänder sowie auf die Tragfähigkeit der Hebeeinrichtung.
● Transportieren oder heben Sie die Maschine nur entsprechend der
Schwerpunktlage. Wenn der Schwerpunkt nicht in der Mitte zwischen den
Anschlagstellen liegt, dann stellen Sie den Hebehaken zum Anheben über den
Schwerpunkt.

 Montage

Absturz- und Pendelgefahr bei hängendem Transport

Wenn Sie die Maschine an Strängen hängend transportieren, können die Stränge
z. B. wegen einer Beschädigung reißen. Außerdem kann die Maschine bei nicht
ausreichender Befestigung pendeln. Tod, schwere Körperverletzung oder
Sachschäden können die Folge sein.
● Nutzen Sie zum Transport bzw. bei der Installation zusätzliche, geeignete
Tragmittel.
● Bereits zwei Stränge müssen die ganze Last tragen können.
● Verhindern Sie, dass die Tragmittel verrutschen, indem Sie die Tragmittel
sichern.
● Halten Sie bei Verwendung von 2-strängigen Anschlagmitteln den maximalen
Neigungswinkel ≤45° nach ISO 3266 (DIN 580).
● Richten Sie die Ringschrauben so aus, dass die Zugstränge in Flucht der
Ringebenen liegen.
Umkippen oder Verrutschen der Maschine
Wenn Sie die Maschine nicht sachgemäß anheben oder transportieren, kann die
Maschine verrutschen oder umkippen. Tod, schwere Körperverletzung oder
Sachschäden können die Folge sein.
● Verwenden Sie alle vorhandenen Hebeösen an der Maschine.
● Befestigen Sie keine zusätzlichen Lasten oder Gewichte bei Verwendung von
Hebeösen an der Maschine. Die Hebeösen sind nur für das Eigengewicht der
Maschine ausgelegt.
● Ziehen Sie eingeschraubte Hebeösen fest an.
● Schrauben Sie Ringschrauben bis zu ihrer Auflagefläche ein.
● Halten Sie die zulässigen Belastungen der Ringschrauben ein.
● Wenn notwendig, verwenden Sie geeignete ausreichend bemessene Tragmittel
z. B. Hebebänder (EN1492-1) und Zurrgurte (EN12195-2).

Montage
Personen- und Sachschäden durch ungeeignetes Befestigungsmaterial
Wenn Schrauben mit einer falschen Festigkeitsklasse ausgewählt wurden oder mit
dem falschen Anziehdrehmoment befestigt werden, dann können sie brechen oder
locker werden. Die Maschine bewegt sich, die Lager können beschädigt werden. Der
Läufer kann das Maschinengehäuse zerschlagen, Maschinenteile können
weggeschleudert werden. Tod, schwere Körperverletzung und Sachschäden können
die Folge sein.
● Halten Sie die geforderten Festigkeitsklassen für Schraubverbindungen ein.

Elektrischer Anschluss

● Ziehen Sie Schraubverbindungen mit den angegebenen Anziehdrehmomenten

fest.

Personen- und Sachschäden durch falsche Ausrichtung der Maschine

Wenn die Maschine nicht richtig ausgerichtet ist, dann kommt es zu Verspannungen
in den Befestigungsteilen. Schrauben können sich lockern oder brechen, die
Maschine bewegt sich, Maschinenteile können weggeschleudert werden. Tod,
schwere Körperverletzung und Sachschäden können die Folge sein.
● Richten Sie die Maschine sorgfältig zur Arbeitsmaschine aus.

Sachschäden durch unsachgemäße Handhabung

Anbauteile, z. B. Temperaturfühler oder Drehzahlgeber, sind an der Maschine
angebracht und können durch unsachgemäße Behandlung abreißen oder zerstört
werden. Als Folge davon können Fehlfunktionen bis hin zum Totalschaden an der
Maschine auftreten.
● Verwenden Sie bei Bedarf geeignete Steighilfen, wenn Sie Montagearbeiten an
der Maschine durchführen.
● Treten Sie bei der Montage nicht auf Leitungen oder Anbauteile. Verwenden Sie
Anbauteile nicht als Steighilfe.

Elektrischer Anschluss
Sachschäden durch sich lockernde Anschlussteile
Wenn Sie Befestigungselemente aus falschem Material verwenden oder mit dem
falschen Anziehdrehmoment befestigen, dann kann der Stromübergang behindert
werden oder Anschlussteile können sich lockern. Die Folge können Sachschäden an
der Maschine sein bis hin zum Ausfall, sowie mittelbar Sachschäden an der Anlage
durch den Maschinenausfall.
● Ziehen Sie Schraubverbindungen mit den angegebenen Anziehdrehmomenten
fest.
● Halten Sie die evtl. geforderten Materialien für Befestigungselemente ein.
● Überprüfen Sie die Verbindungsstellen bei Inspektionen.

General safety instructions

5 safety rules
1. Disconnect the system.
Also disconnect the auxiliary circuits, for example, anti-condensation heating.
2. Secure against reconnection.
3. Verify absence of operating voltage.
4. Ground and short-circuit.
5. Provide protection against adjacent live parts.
To energize the system, apply the measures in reverse order.

Qualified personnel
Ensure that only qualified personnel in the sense of these operating instructions work
at the machine or close to the machine.

Danger as a result of stationary parts under voltage (live parts)

Live parts represent a hazard. Touch protection against active (live) parts is no
longer guaranteed if covers are removed. The minimum air and creepage distances
may be fallen below (violated) when coming close to active parts. Touching or
coming close can result in death, serious injury or material damage.
● Carefully ensure that all of the covers are closed while operational.
● First switch off and disconnect the machine if you must remove covers. Carefully
comply with the "Five safety rules " (Page 1).
● In operation, the terminal box must always be kept closed. It is only permissible to
open the terminal box when the motor is stationary and in a no voltage condition.

Risk of injury due to rotating parts

Rotating parts are dangerous. Touch protection against rotating parts is no longer
guaranteed if covers are removed. Touching rotating parts can result in death,
serious injury or material damage.
● Carefully ensure that all of the covers are closed while operational.
● First switch off and disconnect the machine if you must remove covers. Comply
with the "Five safety rules":
● Only remove the covers when the rotating parts have come to a complete
standstill.

Risk of burn injuries as a result of hot surfaces

Individual machine parts can become hot in operation. Burns can result when coming
into contact with these parts.
● Never touch machine parts during operation.
● Allow the machine to cool down before starting work.
● Check the temperature of parts before touching them. If required, wear suitable
protective equipment.

Faults in operation
Any changes with respect to the normal condition can indicate that the machine is not
functioning correctly.
● Higher power consumption, temperatures or vibration levels.
● Unusual noise or smells.
● Monitoring devices respond.
This can cause faults which can result in eventual or immediate death, serious injury
or material damage.
● Immediately inform the service personnel.
● If you are in doubt, immediately switch off the machine, carefully observing the
system-specific safety conditions.

Damage caused by condensation

Humidity in the air can condense for intermittent duty or load fluctuations.
Condensate can collect. Moisture can have a negative impact on the winding
insulation or result in damage, such as corrosion.
● Ensure that any condensation can freely flow away.
Hazardous substances
Chemical substances required for the setup, operation and maintenance of machines
can present a health risk. Poisoning, skin damage, cauterization of the respiratory
tract, and other health damage may result.
● Read the information in these operating instructions and the product information
supplied by the manufacturer.
● Observe the relevant safety regulations and wear the personal protective
equipment specified.

Preparing for use, transport and storage

Substances that can be easily ignited and are flammable

Chemical substances required for the setup, operation and maintenance of machines
may be flammable. Burns and other damage to health and material may result.
● Read the information in these operating instructions and the product information
supplied by the manufacturer.
● Observe the relevant safety regulations and wear the personal protective
equipment specified.

Preparing for use, transport and storage

Preconditions for safe lifting and transporting
If you do not transport or lift the machine in a position appropriate for its construction,
the machine can tip, slip into the lifting equipment or fall down. This can result in
death, serious injury or material damage.
● Use only the load carrying device on the stator frame for lifting.
● Use the load carrying device appropriate for the machine position.
● Only use suitable rope guiding or spreading devices.
Center of gravity not centered
If the center of gravity of a load is not located centrally between the attachment
points, the machine can tip over or slip out of the lifting equipment and fall when it is
being transported or lifted. This can result in death, serious injury or material
damage.
● Comply with the handling instructions on the machine when transporting it.
● Be aware of the possibility of different loads on the sling ropes or lifting straps and
the carrying capacity of the lifting equipment.
● Always take account of the center of gravity when transporting or lifting the
machine. If the center of gravity is not located centrally between the attachment
points, then position the hoisting hook above the center of gravity.
Risk of dropping and swinging when transported suspended
If you transport the motor suspended from cables or ropes, the cables or ropes can
break, e.g. as a result of damage. Further, if not adequately attached, the motor can
swing. This can result in death, serious injury, or material damage.
● Use additional, suitable lifting equipment for transport and during installation.
● Two cables alone must be able to carry the complete load.
● Prevent the lifting equipment from sliding by appropriately securing it.

 Mounting

● When using 2-cable lifting equipment, ensure that the maximum angle of
inclination is ≤45° according to ISO 3266 (DIN 580).
● Align the eyebolts so that the cables used for lifting are aligned with the planes of
the eyebolts.
Toppling over or slipping of the motor
The motor can slide or topple over if it is not correctly lifted or transported. This can
result in death, serious injury, or material damage.
● Use all the lifting eyes on the machine.
● When using the lifting eyes on the machine, do not attach any additional loads or
weight. The lifting eyes are only designed for the weight of the machine itself.
● Any eyes that are screwed in must be tightly fastened.
● Eyebolts must be screwed in right up to their supporting surface.
● Comply with the permissible eyebolt loads.
● When necessary, use suitably dimensioned lifting equipment, for example
hoisting straps (EN1492-1) and load restraints (EN12195-2).

Mounting
Injury and material damage caused by inappropriate fastening material
If screws of an incorrect property class have been selected or if they have been
fastened to an incorrect tightening torque, they may break or become loose. This will
cause the machine to move, which could damage the bearings. The rotor could
smash into the machine enclosure and machine parts could be flung out of place.
This can result in death, serious injury or material damage.
● Comply with the required property classes for screwed connections.
● Tighten the screwed connections to the specified tightening torques.

Injury and material damage caused by incorrect machine alignment

If the machine has not been properly aligned, this will mean the fastening parts are
subjected to stress/distortion. Screws may become loose or break, the machine will
move, machine parts could be flung out of place. This can result in death, serious
injury or material damage.
● Carefully align the machine to the driven machine.

Electrical connection

Material damage caused by improper handling

Mounting parts such as temperature sensors or speed sensors are attached to the
machine and could be ripped off or destroyed as a result of improper handling. This
could lead to machine malfunctions, extending even to total loss of the machine.
● Where necessary, use suitable steps when performing installation work on the
machine.
● Do not stand on cables or attachments during installation. Do not use
attachments as steps.

Electrical connection
Material damage as a result of connection parts coming loose
If you use fixing elements made from the wrong material or apply the wrong
tightening torque, this could impair current transfer or cause connecting parts to
become loose. This could result in material damage to the machine or even in total
failure, which could in turn lead indirectly to material damage to the system.
● Tighten the screwed connections to the specified tightening torques.
● Observe any specifications regarding the materials from which fixing elements
must be made.
● When performing servicing, check the fastenings.
