SMOKING
* What do you feel about smoking in public places ? <>Harmful for health __It causes lung cancer, heart dieases, and respiratory problems.Worldwide, about three million people die every year because of smoking that s about one death every ten seconds ! In fact, smoking is the cause of almost 20% of all deaths in the developed countries of the world. __Smoking doesnt just hurt the smoker, it hurts other people, too. When a person smokes at the office or other public places, smoking harms coworkers, and others who breathe the smokers cigarette smoke, called second-hand smoke <>Against the law __Many restaurants and offices in the United States, Canada,etc.. limit the places where people can smoke. __Many airlines and hotels do not permit smoking at all. <>Dangerous : easy to cause fires ( petrol stations, forests (during the dry season ) ,..) take risk of causing disaters <>Bad influence on children, especially youngsters : set bad example for them.They are not mature enough imitate <>Pollute the environment __Every day millions of cigarette butts are left on the ground. dirtyMaximum of the cigarette butts finally end up in lakes and rivers. By mistake fishes and other water animals eat these butts resulting in death of these water bodies. The remaining butts left on the ground will approximately take 25-26 years to decompose. The various additives and chemicals are leached into the soil, polluting the soil as well as plants. __It is quite evident that smoking causes air pollution and to some extent also pollutes the ground. Approximately 4000 chemicals are present in cigarettes, which are breathed out and released in the atmosphere. Out of the total North American population 30% of them are smokers and the percentage of the smoking population in developing countries is much higher. This indicates that an enormous quantity of pollution is being released in the atmosphere every day.
Smoking should be banned in public places

In fact, smoking is the cause of almost 20% of all deaths in the developed countries of the world. __Smoking doesnt just hurt the smoker, it hurts other people, too. .,When a pregnant women smokes, she is hurting her developing baby Second hand smoke from a parents cigarette increases a childs chances for middle ear problems, causes coughing and wheezing, and worsens asthama conditions .,When a man smokes at home, his wife and children are also breathing in smoke and can become sick <> Money consuming : __ If a person is addicted to smoking, he has to spend a large sum of money on cigarette.A pack-a -day smoker pays $2 per pack .It means he has to spend more than $700 on smoking per year financial problems __The price of cigarette will continue to rise in coming years <>Dangerous : easy to cause fires (If a man smokes before sleeping, he forgets his cigarette butt ) take risk of causing disaters <> Bad influence on children : set bad example for children imitate __If both parents smoke, a teenager is more than twice as likely to smoke as a young person whose parents are both non-smokers __In households where only one parent smokes, young people are also more likely to start smoking
