already appears in the Key Item sections right after it is stolen, and you can go to your bag and
select it. If you do so, all 6 suspects will fight you in a gauntlet of 3 double battles. Hoopa will
appear and bring a full team of 6 Pokemons to join the battle as your partner. You will fight
Eustace & John first, then Julia & Archer/Maxwell, then Craudburry & Sandy last.
- You can talk to the chief repeatedly, and you will be revealed to be in possession of the Blue Orb.
You will not have to do any battle.
The chief will take the orb and run away. The real culprit is Hoopa and Corin Rouge disguised as

Summary:
- The quest cannot be completed right in the same tier it’s given (Tier 3 cap 120).
- The quest giver Marcello will be in the nightclub for several tiers.
- Although it’s not completed, it will not prevent you from progressing to the next tier.
- You still have to do some actions after getting the quest to get progress to the next tier.
- The quest will be completed in a later tier, which is Tier 7 (level cap 145).
- You cannot complete the quest before reaching Tier 7 (level cap 145).
- There are 72 Z cells in the game, even though the game says there are 70.
- You do not have to collect every cell.
- The minimum you need to complete this quest is 10 Z cells.
- You get a reward and an easier progress through the quest if you collect 50 Z cells.
This quest will send you to the Twilight Factory in the Twilight Desert in Tourmaline Desert. In the
Twilight Factory, there are 10 gates, and every 10 Z cells that you get will open 1 gate. Florinia will
say you need to open all the gates and get to the end to get Zygarde.
However, you CANNOT possess 100 Z cells, and you CANNOT open all 10 gates by yourself
because there are only 70 Z cells in the game. Furthermore, this quest can only be finished in tier
7 (level cap 145) and NOT sooner. You CANNOT complete it right after it is assigned to you.
Therefore this quest will be left incomplete in the nightclub for a long time. Don't pay attention to
it, leave the area and Florinia, and move on with other quests until you reach Tier 7. You still need
to go to Twilight Factory and talk to Florinia in the Twilight Factory so that you can move on to the
next tier.
When you go through other quests, you will encounter Z cells, and you can collect them. You are
NOT required to collect ALL the Z cells to actually finish this quest. The minimum amount that
you need to get is 10 cells only, and the Twilight Desert has 10 cells already.
However, there IS a practical benefit to collecting Z cells, and the benefit is that Z cells help you
maximize IVs. 1 Z cell can create 1 Cell Extract, and 1 Cell Extract can maximize the IV of one stat
of a Pokemon. Therefore you may want to collect Z Cells to achieve a practical benefit, which is
maximizing IV for your Pokemons, and that is up to you, but you are NOT required to collect all
the Z cells to finish the Zygarde quest.
When you have more cells, you can go to the facility and open more gates by yourself. 10 cells will
open one gate. However, as stated above, you cannot actually progress with the quest until tier 7
(level cap 145), so even if you have opened the gates, nothing will happen. Also, the last gate is
always locked, regardless of how many cells you have.
Later, during the Xerneas Yveltal quest in Rhodochrine Jungle, the story will require you to get a
100% Zygarde. However, you CANNOT create a 100% Zygarde by yourself. Therefore the Xerneas
Yveltal quest will also stay incomplete for a considerable amount of time. Don’t pay attention to
the Xerneas Yveltal quest either and move on with other quests until you reach Tier 7.
Once you reach tier 7 (level cap 145), you can actually progress with this quest, and there will be a
clear sign for that. The sign is that Marcello the quest giver jumps up and down in the night club,
and when you talk to him, he will say that the Rainbow Menace has arrived at the Factory. That
Rainbow Menace is Terra, and she will be in the Zygarde area. She will ask you to clear out the
first 5 gates by yourself, or she can smack the computer to make them open for you. After that
there are two possibilities:
If you have 50 Z cells, you can open the first 5 gates by yourself. After 5 gates are opened, you can
get access to a 50% enhancement machine, and you can make a 50% Zygarde. You will give the
50% Zygarde to Terra, and she will use a Ditto she stole from Elias to clone it to make a fake 100%
Zygarde. The reward for having collected at least 50 Z cells is a perfect IV Ditto. You will not
receive the Ditto in this quest though. Later when you bring the 100% Zygarde to Shelly in the
Underroot to break the barrier, Zygarde will disintegrate and the Ditto will appear, and you can
obtain it.
If you do not have 50 Z cells, Terra will smack the computer to open the first 5 gates, and you will
have to do a gauntlet. The number of battles you have to do depends on the number of gates you
can’t open. For example, if you have less than 10 cells, you can’t open 5 gates, so Terra will smack
5 times and you’ll have to do a 5 battle gauntlet. If you have more than 10 and less than 20 cells,
you can’t open 4 gates, so Terra will smack 4 times, and you’ll have to do a 4 battle gauntlet.
After the first 5 gates are opened, Terra will ask you to bring her a 10% Zygarde. You only need to
collect at least 10 Z cells to finish the quest, and the desert area in front of the facility has 10 Z
cells already. Once you have given the 10% Zygarde to Terra, she will use more Dittos to clone it to
make a fake 100% Zygarde and clear the remaining gates. If you let this happen you will not
receive the perfect IV Ditto.
In both scenarios, you will need to create a 10% Zygarde first. To get a 10% Zygarde, you need to
enter a different room in that area.
After that, if you have 50 cells, you can enhance the 10% Zygarde with this machine.
After all gates are cleared, you can go to the end of the factory and get access to a 100%
enhancement machine. This machine will convert your Zygarde into a 100% Zygarde that can exist
outside the battle. The Zygarde quest will be completed at this point.
After that, you can bring the 100% Zygarde to the Underroot to proceed with the Xerneas Yveltal
quest.

Terrain change
When you walk through the door, you will get a message and will be in a mirror area. Walk up and
you will see a pole. If you touch the pole, you’ll start a battle with a wild level 1 Unown.
What you need to do is using terrain creating moves in that battle. More specifically:
- Pollen surges through the air...: Use the move Grassy Terrain in the battle.
- Electricity surges through the air...: Use the move Electric Terrain in the battle.
- Mist surges through the air...: Use the move Misty Terrain in the battle.
- Energy surges through the air...: Use the move Psychic Terrain in the battle.
Pokemons that can learn those moves and the levels at which they learn:
- Grassy Terrain: Oddish (47), Gloom (54), Tangela (48), Roserade (1), Tangrowth (50), Flabebe
(24), Floette (27), Florges (1), Comfey (46). The Treecko found in the Underroot has a 1/5 chance
of having this move.
- Misty Terrain: Mr. Mime (1), Gardevoir (1), Audino (1), Flabebe (37), Floette (43), Florges (1),
Meowstic (50), Spritzee (42), Aromatisse (42), Sylveon (29), Popplio (46), Brionne (55), Primarina
(60). The Ralts obtained from the Corrupted Pokeball has a 1/4 chance of having this move. The
Igglybuff obtained from Peridot Ward at the start of the game has a 1/3 chance of having this
move.
- Psychic Terrain: Murshana (1), Beeheyem (1). The Abra obtained from 7th street has a 1/2
chance of having this move. The Fennekin obtained from Water Treatment Center is guaranteed
to have this move.
- Electric Terrain: Magneton (1), Magnetric (1, 60), Magnezone (1), Electivire (1, 65), Togedemaru
(37). The Helioptile obtained from Beryl Ward pre-restoration is guaranteed to have this move.

The Pulse Camerupt has 1 HP and has Sturdy, so you can’t knock it out with direct damage. The
partner Whimsicott will start with Safeguard, and the Camerupt itself has a Lum Berry, so you
can’t give it status. New World prevents all weather, so you can’t kill it with weather damage.
After you win the 3 PULSE fights, Shiv will challenge you to a battle. All your Pokemons will be at
level 1, and all of your items disappear. It’s a scripted loss, so there’s no penalty in losing. After
you lose, the game will soft reset itself. It is possible to win with FEAR Pokemons, but that doesn’t
change anything. If you win, he will say some more lines, and the game will soft reset itself
regardless.
After the reset, Shiv will say that he’s giving you a Darkrai. He actually doesn’t, so you won’t find it
in your team or PC, and you shouldn’t bother resetting for a shiny Darkrai.
After that, you will return to the normal world. However, the quest hasn’t ended, because you’re
still in a dream and haven’t actually returned to the normal world. When you return to the
nightclub, you will see that all quest givers are gone, except for Smeargle and Marcello.
Smeargle will tell you to go to a wet stinky place underneath the city. That place is the Water
Treatment Center, so you’ll have to go there. When you’re there, go to the rightmost room.
After the battle with Umbral Corey, you’ll be teleported to Lower Peridot Ward, where you meet
Adrienn. After the dialogue, go to the Nightclub.
After the scene, you will be teleported to the void world where you meet Luna. Luna will tell you
to chase after her, but that’s just going to end up in a loop. To break out of the loop, run in the
opposite direction.
After that Shiv will show himself, and you’ll get a proper battle with him this time. You can use
your normal Pokemons and items normally now.
After the battle with Shiv, you’ll be transported to another path where you can battle Anomaly
Darkrai and capture it. You have to either capture Darkrai or defeat it to complete the quest.

The overall trick is to push the block in the negative side of an area to change the position of the
ladder in the normal area. Smash the mirror to switch between the normal and the negative side.
Second map
After switching to negative you can go back to the first area to get a Z cell
Push the block right and up
Push the block left
Third area
Don’t switch to negative in the upper floor. Go down the stairs then switch.
Push the block left
If you leave the block in this position, when you return to the normal side, and climb up, you’ll get
to the gate to the normal side of the area, which is a dead end. You can get some extra dialogue
from Saphira and a Z cell in this area. When you leave, you’ll end up in the starting area.
(basement Mimikyu).
To actually proceed, in the previous room, you have to push the block to the bottom left corner of
the rectangular sliding area.
Now you switch to regular, climb up. You’ll land on the rock instead, and you can switch to the
negative side of the upper floor
Go up and surf to enter the dead end area on the negative side. After that you can finally proceed
and battle Lugia.

The objective is to create the colors in the tiles in the middle column that match the color of the
cracks on top of it. The cracks are in 5 shades and go from white to black from top to bottom.
Final state:
How the puzzle works:
- There are five shades in this puzzle. The five shades on the side columns are the same as the five
shades in the middle column. Each shade will come with a number for easy reference.
5 4 3 2 1
5 4 3 2 1
- When you touch the side column once, you will shift all shades one tile forward to the top. For
example
Before touch After touch
- When you touch the middle column once, the top shades from the side columns will combine
and create a new shade for the top position in the middle column. The bottom shade in the
middle column will split into two shades and they will move to the bottom position of each side
column.
The solution provided below is for this starting state.
If your starting state isn’t like that (white on left column, black on right column), go down and talk
to Malamar to switch the two columns.

Overall guide: The final objective is to let the light hit 4 crystals in the corner at the same time. To
do that you will have to use the crystals’ functions. The function of each crystal is:
- Blue crystal: Activate ice bridge
- Green crystal: Turn green bushes into smashable rocks
- Red crystal: Change positions of red rocks
- Purple crystal: Transport mirrors to another position. It can save the positions of mirrors when
the light is on, and those positions are marked with yellow outlines. When the light is dark, you
can move the mirrors to other positions. When you activate the purple crystal, the mirrors will be
teleported back to the saved positions, where the outlines are. Talking to El will turn on the light,
while talking to Luna will turn off the light.
The purple crystal will be used most often in this quest. To use it, you need to do three steps:
- First, you have to let the light hit the purple crystal when the light is off. This will activate the
purple crystal, and it will flash when it’s activated.
- Second, you have to put the mirror that you want to change its position to the after-transport
position, then turn on the light.
- Last, you have to turn off the light, and push the mirror to the before-transport position. The
after-transport position is marked with a yellow outline of the mirror
Then, if you activate the purple crystal, the mirror will be transported to the after transport
position. You will need to use this technique multiple times to solve the puzzle.

Battle guide
The 6v12 Anomaly Mew & Anomaly Mewtwo is one of the hardest battles in postgame. Lots of
people struggled with this fight. Fortunately, there is a team that can get through the fight
effortlessly.
Team:
1. Landorus-Therian.
Item: Choice Scarf.
Move: Earthquake
2. Magearna.
Item: Leftovers
Moves: Shift Gear, Dazzling Gleam.
EV: 252 HP, 252 Sp Atk
How to play:
- Landorus uses Earthquake.
- Magearna uses Shift Gear in the first two turns, and uses Dazzling Gleam in the remaining turns.
On Holy Field, ally Pokemons will not take damage from moves that hit ally Pokemons, like
Earthquake. Therefore, Landorus can use Earthquakes without damaging Magearna. The only
potential obstacle of this strategy is that the opponent can send out Lunala right after the first
two leads. Dazzling Gleam from +2 Sp Atk Magearna and Earthquake from Landorus may not be
enough to kill Lunana, and it can kill Magearna with Heat Wave.
Fern
After the Anomaly battle, Fern will be turned to stone. There will be a way to bring him back to
life in a later quest. If you return to the Nightclub and talk to Florinia, she will run away. She will
not be where Fern is, so don’t bother going there. Just do other quests of the tier, and you will
see her again.
When you’ve cleared all the tier 7 quests, Noel will ask you to bring Fern to him. You can go to
stoned Fern, and he will be resurrected. After that you will have a battle with Umbral Fern.
