Law Inforcement

Speaker 1: Without law enforcement and our criminal justice system, there is the risk of widespread
chaos, violence, thievery, and danger. Law enforcement officers can take pleasure and satisfaction in
their efforts to keep society safe and criminals accountable for their conduct.

Speaker 2: The function of police in the community should ideally be to maintain public safety and
uphold justice. They are intended to serve as neutral arbiters of the law, protecting all citizens equally
regardless of socioeconomic variables such as money, color, or culture.

Prosecution
Speaker 3: Prosecution ensures that anyone suspected of committing crimes are prosecuted in a court of
law and condemned if found guilty. Successful criminal prosecution is an essential component of a
society based on the rule of law.

Courts

Correction

including education, law enforcement, and finance. By identifying and rectifying
errors or deficiencies, correction ensures accuracy, fairness, and improvement in
various aspects of society

Speaker 8: Corrections is the monitoring of those who have been arrested,


convicted, or sentenced for criminal offenses. There are two types of correctional
populations: institutional corrections and community corrections.

Community
Speaker 9: A community is a group of people who live in the same geographic region and share common
qualities including culture, language, and social standards. Geographic boundaries, demographic
features, or similar experiences can all be used to identify communities.

Speaker 10: Individual citizens can help to prevent crime by acting as witnesses, intervening in attempted
offenses, taking care to prevent property theft, and establishing and enforcing guidelines for their
children's behavior.
