NOTICE FOR RETAIL OUTLET (PETROL PUMP) APPLICANTS
BEWARE OF FRAUDSTERS
It has come to our notice that unauthorized individuals or organizations are falsely using
the name of Oil Marketing Companies (HPCL/IOCL/BPCL) to fraudulently offer Retail
Outlet (Petrol Pump) Dealerships on behalf of OMCs.
These deceptive communications, which may include unexpected email, letter, messages
or call falsely claim to represent OMCs and provide misinformation about the award or
grant of Retail Outlet dealership. Some messages even instruct recipients to make
payments for activities such as land evaluation etc.
An example of a fraudulent message circulating is: "Dear Customer, your application for a
Petrol pump dealership has been approved successfully. Now you have to make payment
as a registration charge on the given account below," along with bank account details.
These bank accounts are not in the name of OMCs (HPCL/IOCL/BPCL).
The public is strongly advised to rely only on OMC's official website
www.petrolpumpdealerchayan.in for authentic and official information regarding the
allotment of new Retail Outlet Dealerships and making payments. OMCs have not
appointed any agency or person on their behalf for the selection or appointment of Retail
Outlet dealers nationwide, and no agency or person is authorized to solicit money from
candidates at any stage of the selection process.
OMC officials do not use generic email addresses like GMAIL, Yahoo, etc., nor do they
communicate through WhatsApp. Applicants are urged to make all payments, such as
application fees and initial security deposits, exclusively through the official website
www.petrolpumpdealerchayan.in.
If any suspicious activity is noticed, individuals are encouraged to report the incident to
their local Police Station. Individuals may also contact nearby HPC/IOC/BPC office in case
any suspicious activity using the name of OMCs is observed, as this will help us take
necessary actions against such fraudulent websites.

they be liable for any losses or damages suffered by members of the public arising from
reliance on or usage of information from unauthorized portals, websites, or email domains
or by dealing with imposters/ persons not authorized by OMCs.

in the general public interest.
