1. Create new e-mail id.

Please note this is not mandatory step, you can use any e-mail id which is
not registered on SAP Portal.

2. Register this newly created email id on www.sap.com

3. Once you click on Submit, you will receive necessary notification in order to activate your account.
4. Once you click on activate your account button, it will ask for setting up password for your
account and your account will be configured successfully.

5. Use following URL to login to SAP BTP Account. Use email id and password that we have
configured in last steps.

https://account.hana.ondemand.com/#/home/welcome
6. After submitting user id and password, you will be landed on following page. Click on Trail Home
Button.

7. For first time login you need to submit code that you will receive by SMS. Please note, this mobile
number will be same mobile number that you have submitted while registering onto SAP Portal.
Enter the necessary code and click on continue.
8. Accept Terms and conditions.

9. Select Region as US East (VA) – AWS and click on Create Account


10. Click on continue
11. Now, your account is configured successfully. Click on Go To Your Trail Account

12. Click on subaccount

13. Go to Security->Trust Configuration. Please make sure it has following properties.


14. Now, click on Users and assign Business Application Studio Developer role to your id using Assign
Role Collection Button

15. After adding roles, your user will have following roles:

16. Now, we will install JDK on our machine. Please visit following URL:-
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1AF8CiGsas5pINnEY0_5_uOJGJN97Wzpp

and download file jdk-8u251-windows-x64.exe. Before doing this activity, please make sure that your
system is 64 bit. Once file downloaded, do the necessary installation. Once installation done, setup
Environment Variables as follows:

Once, you set variables, you can confirm your setup by using following command on command
prompt.

17. Install JVM and SAP Cloud Connector. Please visit following URL:-

https://tools.hana.ondemand.com/#cloud

Please make sure you are downloading correct file w.r.t. windows.

SAP JVM: Download below file


Once file downloaded, we need to extract file under C:/Program Files/Java.

Please note this will be the same path where we have installed our JDK 1.8

18. Now, Download Correct version of Cloud Connector

Now, double click on downloaded file to proceed with installation. Cloud Connector Installation
screen will come where you need to click on Next
Click on Next Button one more time
Click on Next one more time

Now, you have to give path sapjvm folder. This will be same path as we configured in step 17. Now,
click on browse and select sapjvm folder.
You will get following error upon selecting this folder.

Don’t worry about this error click on Ok button and Click on browse one more time and select folder
as follows

Now, click on Next and your error will be gone.


Click on Next button one more time
Next one more time please 😊

Now, Cloud Connector is getting installed on your machine.


Click on Close button once installation is complete
Now, navigate to following url: https://localhost:8443/

For the first time login, you may get this certificate error. Click on Advanced and click on Proceed to
localhost (unsafe)

Enter User Name: Administrator

Password: manage

Please note, if you are doing back to back installation without system restart ( i.e. uninstalling Cloud
Connector and installing Cloud Connector again ) in that case after installation password “manage”
will not work and you will get invalid password. In such case, you need to enter same password that
you configure last time. If you don’t remember your last password then restart the system and try to
login to above url using given user name and password.
You will be asked to change password.

Set the new password and click on Save.


Now you need to define subaccount.

Select Region as

Now, go to SAP BTP Login page and open your trail subaccount. Now copy this subaccount id and
paste under Subaccount
Now, enter Display Name, Login E-mail and password. Please note, this login email and password
should match with your SAP BTP account. After entering necessary details, click on Save button.
Now, click on Cloud to On-Premise and further click on + button

Now, click on Next

Click on Next
Now, open your SAP System and go to SMICM tcode. See the value of HTTP port and enter the same
under Internal Port.

Internal Host: 103.44.1.206 ( This will be Application URL of your S4 system )

Internal Port: 8028 ( Please note, this value will be based on HTTP Port which is configured under
SMICM )

Click on Next,
Now, enter Virtual Host and port as follows and click on Next

Deselect this checkbox and click on Next

Click on Next Button more time


Click on Next Button one more time 😊

Select this checkbox and click on Finish


Now, add resources for system and click on highlighted + button

Enter following values and click on Save


After adding these details, your screen will look like this

19. Now, go to your SAP BTP trail account and open SAP Business Application Studio.
For those who can not able to open Business Application Studio from here. They can use below
alternate approach.

Use button Go to Application in order to open Business Application Studio.

Now, click on Create Dev Space Button.


Enter Dev space name and Click on Create Dev Space one more time 😊

Now, open Dev space by clicking on highlighted hyperlink


Now Open Service Center by using below screenshot

Go to SAP system and click on Add system


Now, configure below values:
Please note, URL will be similar value to Virtual Host that you have entered while configuring Cloud
Connector in step 18.
Finally, click on Add button. Once system is configured, you can able to see all your ODATA Services.
