To better understand a literary piece, it is a must that one should look into piece,
tone, and mood , and the author’s purpose for writing it.
Tone,is written composition, is an attitude of a writer toward a subject or an
audience. Tone is generally conveyed through the choice of words or the
viewpoint of a writer on a particular subject.
Mood is a literary element that evokes certain feelings or vibes through words
and descriptions.
Usually, mood is referred to the atmosphere of a literary piece, as it
creates an emotional situation that surrounds the readers. Mood can be
developed through setting, theme, tone and diction.

An author's purpose is the reason the author decides to write about a
specific topic, then once a topic is selected, the author must decide
whether his purpose for writing is to inform, persuade, entertain, or
explain his ideas to the reader.
